I'm copying Car_Killer's comment on the Cherrier Picnic thread as I could not put it better than him, I've deleted over 200 irrelevant & offtopic comments, Please see so it does not happen again.
Some skins for that surfboard would be cool, as well as the ability to change the colours of the roof boxes to match the car.
I've had this discussion in a thread specifically made for the discussion of paid mods, and I think as Patreon and other services made for this kinds of things are centralized around Dolar or Euros, makes it not worth in some countries, as opposed as what Steam does to balance the price (like in the US you guys pay like $25 for the game, but in argentina the game is like $1, so a $1,50 mod is more expensive than the whole game in this scenario), I do agree mod developers should be able to make money from mods, but not having a balanced economical scheme like what Steam does might hinder the reaxch a bit, and the lack of confidence about the quality of the mod you're paying when a mod costs more than the game is another point of discussion, I admire LucasBE's work, and with the free version of the Cherier he made, i think was a step in the right direction for the modding community, his mods are high quality as always and the Demo version makes potential buyers more confident in the final product.
But on the flipside, while it may cost more than the whole game to you, the money is still going to (in this case) Lucas, who lives in Europe, and has to make enough money to live with European living costs. Not that he should be relying on mod sales as his primary income, but it would lose any practical purpose to monetising. for example, if his mod sales were priced competitively for these countries at €0.05, then 1,000 sales of the mod would give him €50, which doesn't go all that far.
And? BeamNG devs are from germany and the games sells worldwide with a variety of currencies, I'm saying it should be varied by country like Steam does, not that he should price it to make sense for these countries to buy it, so he'd make more from sales from Europe and US and less with some other countries, and he does many mods, there is these add ons, the cherrier, and so on, and they are high quality and worth being paid for, I'm trying to make a point about the lack of perception to other countries were money is a big problem, 1 mod costing more than the whole game, a $3 new vehicle is 3 times the whole game for someone from there, is a mod really worth paying 3 times more than the whole game? Even if it is Lucas' near dev quality mods?
Just bought this. Haven't had the chance to test it yet, but it looks cool af! Will there be further updates or is this all there will be? --- Post updated --- i think all cars that you can put a roof rack on
