I see that another rather important person in our community manages to disappoint with false promises. What a shame.
who does bro think he is the mod as it is is very difficult to update efficiently because of the way it was made. Every bodystyle, every wheelbase, every option will need to be tweaked to fit the new miamar quality standard. Its gonna take a lot of effort to make it up to date wich would essentially be completely redoing the mod from scratch. Besides, the lore it was made to fit (99s miramar) is changing and thus this mod is essentially reduntant. i would love to try to make a new interpretation of this mod some day, a nice coupe in the style of the miramar Z coupe and a bigger coupe/sedan probably bearing the Presta name. In order to properly judge, analise and improve the modding scene, one would first need to be a part of it, secondly would need to know how modding this game works and what kind of effort it entails. If you are lacking in both departments i would advise you to keep such comments to yourself, especially if you wanna "ratt" mods and are "trying to improve the BeamNG community by giving honest ratings to mods that catch your attention".
How the hell do you expect them to update the mod without a PC?! That is the case, not quote-on-quote "false promises". Besides, he stated that they've been having a hard time making the files usable. What you're saying doesn't make any sense.
Bro, it's not that hard to look at previous pages where they literally posted that fix and not bump this thread for no reason
I understand you. We all understand. But we don't appreciate bumps of dead threads just because you don't want to scroll to previous page with same question and scroll one more page for fix itself. My advice - read from last page to first. There are high chances that somebody already asked that question not too long time ago. You also can quick scroll pages and stop only on comments with attached files. Or just google that fix if thread has a lot of pages like KLJP mod with Pessima Zenith's broken rear suspension. If fix exists, then the link for a thread or page with it will be in first result.
You're speaking for a lot of people when you say "We don't appreciate bumps of dead threads" What difference does it make to you for a question to be asked regarding any mod? Also the previous post before mine was from Feb 6, 2025, So please clarify what is a dead thread. Thanks.
Yes, I'm speaking for a lot of people. Because there are lots of people that don't like bumps. The reason we don't like bumps is simply because when you bump thread, it 1) - gets on top of thread list (don't know how to call it on English, sorry) and if there are lots of old bumped threads, they just polute forum page. It's somewhat like when half of your YouTube main page consists of old outdated videos and the ones you already watched few times. 2) (not completely my conception. Saw it from another forum member there, but i agree with it): when you see old outdated mod thread being active, you check it in hopes that someone or even author himself has made a fix or update, but it's just another annoying question or complaint about "dis Hirohi Suburst mod from 2016 is nod vorkeng for me plese fix dat". And you can't get from main page - do you need to check it or not. (To prevent further questions: I personally remember cases when old mods get suddenly revamped. So argument "ded mod is ded, there's no point of checking it"). 3) bumps on abandoned WIP projects make everyone interested stop and look at them only to get that this thing was abandoned a long time ago without hopes of returning. About Dead thread. Some people think that dead thread is when nobody posted there just for a long time, some think that it's when a mod was abandoned and there are no plans of returning to work on it. I personally prefer to look at when author himself told anything about this mod and what exactly he told (or if he just silently disappeared). In case of this mod, it was classified as outdated for like few years and there was no signs of update or remaster. Last messages were from guys who want it to be updated or asking something about it, so i don't count them as important ones. Or my favourite example - Dansworth Type C and Type D buses mods. They are abandoned and outdated, but threads about them show up every 2 months or so because people constantly ask about if they still work (why not to test it themselves?) and complain about bugs because there are lots of new guys who also don't know that bumps are bad and that the mods are outdated and abandoned
guy said "maybe" itll be out in a bit and then now its been stretched to a year or so with no news. wouldve been nice to hear the no pc thing instead of just yelling at people before.
How much do you get paid for Gatekeeping? --- Post updated --- Looks to me like the most recent update of BeamNG as of Today this mod is totally broken for me.
Bro, of course it is broken. They are already preparing Miramar for its remaster. So even if you get a fix for this mod, it will work for like 3 months.
