Getting terrain issues with decal roads it seems like the ground is not smooth enough and getting a texture glitch over slight variations in height

    Could try smoothing tools again.

Mesh roads seem to work out the best but I can see the ground through the road texture...

Laid over 10km of road only to realize that its buggy as hell...might just force yall to drive gravel

Could you be more specific on what 'glitchy' is on the decal roads?
As for the mesh road texture check it's transparency setting in the material editor or is it not sitting on the mesh correctly?.
Decal roads these days seem really finicky and down right pissy.

that was it...why should roads be transparent by default?

but now i get this blackness from no transparency but at least I cant see through the road...

Not sure. I would guess to allow terrain/mesh materials below to show through a bit. It works well with the right material combinations.
    Glad I could help!
