I have a very hard time classifying this as a 'Russian mod'. High quality points: - The lights and gauges work. All of them. - There are different interiors for every trim level. (Read: Different. Interior. Models. Not even Dev cars have this.) - Everything has been re-tuned. - He even paid enough attention to change the trunk badging per trim level. Things that are 'Russian moddy' about this: - GM JBeam (only in shape, parameters have been re-tuned) - Not all parts properly renamed. So nah... dude did a good job.
I really like what you have done here, each version is awesome and the car is very funny to drive and deforms pretty well, good job
I really like this car, I've been driving this a lot lately. However, I think the auto gearbox should be "fixed", the car pulls away very quickly when in R and D so it's near impossible to stand still with the car while in gear. Also, could the 200 and 230 model be added?
I'm getting a "no material" error on all glass windows.. should I change the location of where it's trying to load from, or drop the glass from the grand marshall into the folder or the benz?
This is one of the best car mods I have added to my game. Very high quality, I wish there was a Mercedes Benz W126 of this quality.
Yay, this has so much potential if completed well. Roitherthomas, don't let people judge your work by some obscure prejudices concerning nationalities. Just continue building a beautiful and well-handling car and give credit where credit is due. I love how the Mercedes star still stands upright after the whole front has been completely destroyed. That's how its got to be!
That's got to be one of the more xenophobic statements that I've heard in a while. Either way, the interior is extremely impressive, especially for something that isn't coming from one of the developers themselves.
reading through this thread really sucks. the guy is doing the best he can and decided to share what he was able to put together so far with the rest of the forum community. i think its a well done mod in beta phase and if people really care enough then maybe someone will make a jbeam. reading some of the posts i could swear its like you paid for the mod or something. this russian mod thing is ridiculous too. wanting to get this mod off the forums because it might be made by a russian, all because the jbeam isn't customized for the car yet. this is the new generation of internet i guess.
This/\ and for all the other people with the same person (I HAVE IT TOO), get to your documents/BeamNG.drive/cache.0.4.0.6(OR LOWER)/vehicles, and there you must find Benz_280E. Remove this folder. Then start the game, and choose the mercedes. It works for me. Problem, any time you restart BeamNG, the textures will be gone again. So any time before you startup BeamNG, you must remove the Benz folder again, IDK how to fix it or if its just a bug in the game. But for me it worked. Not sure what the cache benz folder thing is? Me either, idk... but it worked.
I went through and read this whole thread again because I think this mod is absolutely awesome. It has so much that is appealing and well done ARTISTICALLY. Sure the jbeam is vanilla GM but godamn it deforms nice, and I'd challenge anyone to find and present evidence for an argument as to how the current jbeam on this mod is in any way detrimental to it's real life counterpart in the deformation department. I hope and pray to see further work from the OP.

I tried it out but for me there is no glass texture. Did anyone else have this problem or is it just me? I'm sure it will be fixed in later updates but for now it is not appealing to me. I hope you fix this problem but until then I will find other cars.
