I want to see this mod finished in the game please, i really like the idea of turning lq mods into hq mods ! I'm new on the forums too, and i don't understand why would you hate on a person who has an awesome idea of turning the russians mods into high quality ones. I mean yeah, russian mods are not that well made, but adding a jbeam to the mod and making lights work and things like that is a very cool idea
I agree with it, some russian models could be convertes to high quality. But not all are bad, there's atleast one very good the "OKA1111" that is very good, sadly the textures are all messed up. If someone with knowlege could do that i would be very, very happy, i just love that car and its physics.
What has he re-uploaded..? Many people have done this type of thing on the forum and this guy gets all the crap for it.
hes tring to re upload a mod thats been on another website. you dont do that. once a mod is made you leave that way. doesnt matter if its been stolen or not
First of all, djbutter, he's just trying to make the mod compatible with the newest version of BeamNG.drive. So don't go yelling at him. Second of all, I really like the idea of doing this, justincr83. Can you make the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG 2012 mod compatible with 0.3.8.3, too? I have absolutely no idea how to make 3D models.
Thanks again for all your comments! The model is compatible with latest version of beamng.drive. I am working on it's nodes&beams structure, which is very hard because the jbeam editor causes lots of problems... (crashes whenever you don't expect, saves the jbeam file wrong and the game engine can't use it, etc) Now, for all those who are saying it's a a crappy russian mode, i have to tell you i only used 3d mesh(which is not russian by the way), so when the jbeam files are done, i will release this model. This is my first project, so it will take a wile to complete it. Is there any other way to get the nodes & beams structure beside "real time jbeam editor" ? I saw some plugin for maya, but the documentation is very weak... I have a question for you, what is the purpose of this game? Smashing and crashing things/cars right? but when you finish messing around with the actual models, what u do? throw away the game? wait another 5 months for a new model? PS: From what i've seen on the "crappy russian mods" most of them have the nodes & beams modified from existing jbeam files. this is what`s making them "crappy"... BUT the reason they end up "crappy" is the LACK of jbeam creator/editor software. I am sure a guy with no experience in computing will be able to release a "crappy russian mode". The guy who release one it's capable doing it the right way, but he's facing the jbeam thing...
Please ignore the negative feedback and keep on with your update, this idea is awesome, and the car look very good too !
No, we can't, and that was later realized in the thread. I would now like to ask you the same because you just replied to a 6-month-old thread that died long ago.
