Body is coming together! So far I have done the following Jbeam parts: - Hood - Front bumper - Bumperbar - Rear bumper - Front doors - Doormirrors So as you may see in the picture the front door is deformed, I think it has to do with the front fenders, original body and rear doors being unmodified so far. It will be fixed obviously! At this point I'm really struggling to work with Blender. So at the moment I work with multiple dae files, but all should be joined into one when the car is finished, but when I put stuff together it creates unique materials for every new collada import. So far I have not been able to find out how to merge materials like I do with meshgroups... If anyone has a video or set of pictures showing me how to merge these materials please let me know as this is really frustrating..
The way you change the linked materials in blender is as follows: 1. Go to the materials pane in the bottom right. By default it is usually the render settings, this is also where you deal with modifiers and all kinds of things. 2. Select the material you want to change, and then click on the box with arrows, find the material you need and click on it. 3. There is no step 3, you should be done.
The game is driving me absolutely crazy.... When copying the section used for the steeringwheel, so it works, without problems, I pasted it and changed the names and assigned textures. All that happened was that all textures (except the body, steeringwheel and chrome) are gone now (While I have not changed those in any way) and my new textures are not appearing... what is going on.....?
EDIT: Fixed! I had a missing bracket and some textures were too small
Textures working, so there's less orange! Yes, there is some orange still, but I just didn't get to those yet. ENGINE!!
Really a shame how this thread hasn't picked up much traction since this is a Mercedes after all . Great job, I really enjoyed using your RoR Mercedes and I bet I will enjoy this one as much as I did in RoR. Keep up the work dude!
Great job. A lovely car you made Hope you can finish this project I really wanna help out with this, PM me if you ever need my help
My favorite Mercedes! Those cars are dirt cheap in my country, because they are unbelievably reliable. Keep up this amazing work!
I am currently working on the limousine model (W202), after that I'll do the Combi model (S202) and last but certainly not least the CLK (C208) ---
Im very excited to see this. This might be the first "High-Quality" Mercedes. Do you plan importing the Wagon version?
I am not sure yet. I will forum release it as Mercedes-Benz first, and maybe I'll rebrand it after that maybe not. I like Mercedes for what they are, so rebranding it is kinda against my nature..
Been reworking the shape of the front of the car. Headlights, Grill and bumper grill: Before After Indicators: Before After
