There is a tutorial to teach how to create a map with a 3d mesh? And any tip to how start it? I converted a map from assetto corsa (dont worry it will be private...) but i dont know from where to start, i have downloaded some maps forto help in learning process (irohazaka2) but idk how to put the mesh into the game, so any tip or advice?
Export the mesh as .dae (COLLADA) format, and import it using the editor. https://www.beamng.com/threads/adding-static-mesh-racetrack-video-from-3dsmax.8185/
Thank you very much! --- Post updated --- @Nadeox1 map editor only accepts collada? It cant accept other files like obj files?
Only .DAE (Collada) is supported. It's a very popular format that pretty much any 3D modelling software supports. Or in any case you can always use Blender as middleman to convert from any format to that one.
Uh? Both support materials and etc. But note that the materials you set up in your 3D modelling software are not the same the game uses. Games uses different kind of materials (each engine has it's own materials). You will have to re-assign textures for each material at the end, using the in-game material editor)
