Now this is useful, it will definitely help someone who has experience

Temporarily fixed dimensions by rescaling the car in Jbeam, all the nodes are off now and will need to be moved... But it's just future-proofing the Jbeam until someone else fixes the model itself.

Im not sure is this bug related to the jbeam, or its actually accurate but whenever the rear bumper got ripped off (or the tow hitch) the engine would detach from a small bump.

Probably a Jbeam bug which I'll make sure to avoid in my version.
Btw does anyone know if the bottom rear "engine support" bar actually supports the engine itself in real life or just the decklid? This would be really useful to know
    image.jpeg
Doesn't look like it would connect to the engine, so is it only for the tow hitch and decklid?

It does support the engine, the thing in the middle is actually the engines mounting point.

    ¨

Here you can see the spring of that engine mount

Thanks, this is really useful info! The fact that the engine is mounted on a spring means I could easily copy the soft engine mount values from any car that has the same setup.
I just finished manually refitting the Jbeam node by node to the new size, and meanwhile fixed even more spiking. Cliff test looks even better now:

Also could you tell me where are the other engine mounting points (if it has any more)? And any other imechanical/structural info you have about this car? Like where is the fuel tank, etc.

I saw this before but I didn't notice the fuel tank back then... Looks like the ST had a bigger one than FL, and also it's dangerously close to the shocks (which really are extremely short) and the transmission, probably if you jumped this car from a big ramp it could explode... And looks like there aren't any more engine mounts except for transmission mounts, this car definitely wasn't designed with safety in mind lol

Well, considering that the Beetle's engine simply hangs on the transmission, you can see that the Maluch is a little more advanced, safetywise. Since the Beetle is a late 30's design, it makes total sense.

You must remember that the suspension comes directly from the Fiat 500 so it was already 15 years old when the production of the 126 started. Yes, the engine is otherwise supported by the transmission, something very common with rear-engined cars. At the moment I can't look at it but when I come home I'll look into the Service Manual if there is any additional info.

I tried to make the lights breakable, but they need to be separate models or else it won't work. So instead I made the windshield crack rather than disappear on crash. It will be able to fall off the car anyway. Yes I know the textures aren't the best but I worked with what I had.
