Looking for general assistance/answers about map making.

    Alright guys, I'm trying to learn here, but I am just absolutely retarded when it comes to this stuff. Making textures, drawing, modelling, all that stuff comes natural to me, it's importing and actually doing any coding or technical stuff I absolutely cannot wrap my head around. I am looking for someone who's willing to guide me through the process, because trying to learn via videos/guides, simply isn't cutting it.

    My texture -


    Image is 1024x2048

    And my problem is I cannot find the image I place in the folder, place in the folder, as well as name the directory in materials file. I got textures to work, but only if I take someone elses folder, and name my file that. Well, I need to learn how to do it myself so I can do it faster than renaming a bunch of shit. Is there a folder for this kind of stuff? Where I can just place it and no matter what the game recognizes it?

    IT HAS TO BE IN THE DAMN BEAMNG DRIVE FOLDER WHERE IT IS INSTALLED.

    And dimensions need to be same value ie - 2048x2048 or 1024x1024. Not 1024x2048 or the image will be squised.

    Actually no, textures can be as long as you want, go into decal road properties, then change texturelength from 5-10. So instead of squishing it it's leaving it the original size.

    bloody hell I don't even know how to save! I've added my touch to the Utah map, but I don't know how to save it. :p
