SuperChargedBurrito submitted a new resource: Legran V6 Sounds - Put the sounds of a Buick 3.8L in your LeGran and hear it ROAR! Read more about this resource...
Not a bad sound from the video, but if you're going to base it off the 3.8 Buick motor, should get the really obnoxious Commodore mang mang
I'm gonna push an update after finding a mistake in the .sbeam file where the filenames where swapped for the configurations giving it a vacuum cleaner like sound when revving the motor. So hold on. The Update is Pending.
SuperChargedBurrito updated Legran V6 Sounds with a new update entry: Solved the Vaccum cleaner sound and got rid of the clipping in the audio files. Read the rest of this update entry...
Wish there was a way to separate the sounds so the V6s got the new sound and the I4 kept the stock sound.
I don't have much experience with the BeamNG sbeam system though. I understand it enough to make it properly work at certain rpm's... thats it.
I'm not sure there is any way to do that actually anyways. I've never looked into sounds. Just the physical parts of the engines. I like the sounds though. Good job for a first mod.
Basically, in one of the SBEAM entries Spoiler: which looks like this ["default", "Buick_highRpm.ogg", "AudioDefaultLoop3D", "ENGINE", "rpm", 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1.2, 200, 7000, 1000, 3000, 999998, 99 ["engine_throttle"], [] ] You replace the "default" in the beginning with a name you want it to use. For example, replace it with "legranv6" Spoiler: so it looks like this ["legranv6", "Buick_highRpm.ogg", "AudioDefaultLoop3D", "ENGINE", "rpm", 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1.2, 200, 7000, 1000, 3000, 999998, 99 ["engine_throttle"], [] ] Then in the jbeam for the engine you find the v6 engine and Spoiler: you add this line to the "mainEngine" set "engineSound":"enginesound" Which for this example would have "enginesound" be "legranv6" Spoiler: like this "engineSound":"legranv6" Spoiler: which would then look kinda like this "legran_engine_v6_3.8": { blah blah blah info slot etc ... "mainEngine": { "engineSound":"legranv6" ... blah blah torque idle max rpm rest of jbeam here etc Now, this was back before powertrain was a thing, so it might not work anymore, but its worth trying. But if you did that, I don't know if the moderators would allow it on the mod repo, since it would be replacing parts the are used on stock configs, which they don't like.
Good to know. One day i'll have i4 and v6 sounds for the LeGran. Might take me a while because I'm a slow learner...

How do you get it to work? It's in the mod folder but has the normal sound and the same thing happened with a V6 sound mod for the pessima
I'm working on it. I'm working on a soundpack for various vehicles in BeamNG where all of my sound mods will get zipped into one file. Check to make sure that the mod isn't disabled on the mod manager.
