this is a very enjoyable mod, I've wanted stock cars in beam.ng for a considerably long time, thank you very much
Fantastic mod. A couple suggestions, though they may have come up previously in the thread. From the behavior of the body parts, I'm going to assume they use a carbon fiber type material? That's fine, but I think it would be cool to have an option between sheet metal or carbon fiber. Separate the front clip and rear clip from the cockpit area of the car. This will allow for more destruction at high speeds. Can the entire body separate from the chassis? If not, you should allow for that. It would be awesome to wreck until the entire body goes flying off.
Dude thank you so much for this!! The only criticism I have is the chassis seems a bit too indestructible at anything but a 120mph impact lol.
After playing around with this for quite a while, I have to say that this is one of the best mods I've ever seen. Oh, and by the way, @Mike.G, this is a fantastic 3D model that you made, and not just on the outside. I was blown away by how detailed the greasy bits of this car were when I looked at them. Geez, I haven't seen so much detail in here since the Hirochi Prasu. Great job on this mod!
I've been wanting to tinker with this mod but looking through the mod's .zip file, I cannot find the engine.jbeam file anywhere in it. Is there even an engine.jbeam in the addon, or is it just using a different name?
it's integrated with the main j beam file, along with everything else but the suspension. edit: ninja'd
Haha! This is so fun to drive! An absolute beast I say! Great Job my friend. Also In the meantime I decided to try and go rally race It on the "Dead Sea Rally". Try and guess how that went (It Crashed)
Scenario ideas: -No Sleep Tonight Map: East Coast USA at sunset Variant: Blank paint-job Objective: Complete the checkpoints and return home before the sun sets You've finally finished building your stock car for this year's racing season, but a series of delays mean that there is no time for a proper shakedown on the track - you'll have to chance it on the street. You've waited until just before sunset for minimum traffic and designed a course for yourself running through the countryside. With a few cars still on the road and the police keeping a watchful eye for drunk drivers on this evening, can you run your course and get back home before the light fades completely? Good luck! -Black Ops Map: Utah, USA at sunrise (could be WCUSA mountain road after it's released) Variant: Not blank or Toyota Care, otherwise don't know. Objective: Get to the end of the Utah canyon Back in the glory days of California street racing, amateur racers would often run their track cars in the canyons to test and develop them before races. You've got a new stock car for this year and it hasn't yet been put to the test, so revive the tradition in Utah. It's very early AM and the sun just rose, so there should be no traffic on this secluded road. Good luck! -Pole position Map: Hirochi Raceway (medium-length course) (could be WCUSA racetrack after it's released) Variant: Not blank Objective: Set the fastest possible lap It's qualifying day for the Grip-All 250 at Hirochi Raceway, and you're one of the last up. The current polesitter set a blistering time of (insert ridiculously difficult time here), can you beat it? Good luck!
