i find this to be kind of puzzling, as I have a basic generic laptop (in my sig) and I get around 30fps while playing and crashing on MOST maps with Covet and other cars, except moonawk (high res beam structure I guess) but never really complain, theres a lot of that around here.

The "physics speed up" will be just the physics, or the core FPS of the game? as in Optimized or...?

edit: hope you selove this, as spending decent money like that basically blow tarts if it isnt performing the way you want it. the PSU comment earlier is kind of tru, experienced that back in the DAAAY, when my PSU died out on my crappy old Compaq, and I replaced it with a cehapo ebay unit that claimed 350W and really was only pushing about 200W...come to think of it, it was a Lenovo product. I replaced that with (whatever name brand at the time) and with just that "upgrade" everything got way smoother, even Internet Explorer, if that makes sense. keep in mind this was over 8 years ago.......

Physics engine is optimised to require less CPU time, so if you were CPU bottlenecked before then you should find a slight FPS increase.

There literally isn't any consumer computer in the world that can run BeamNG at 1000fps.

nope, still impossible, not even the loading screen can get up to that kind of fps

(he was most likely reading the physics fps, and not the visual fps, as the game is supposed to run at 2000 physics fps (meaning that his game is VERY laggy, as 1000 physics fps is half of the physics fps you're supposed to get)
