great mod but the Auto trans doesn't feel right you might wanna add like a 5 speed auto because when you get on the gas with the 3 speed it screams and doesn't feel like it's shifting
IDK if that's such a good idea. Almost none of you were around for it, but if memory serves, Mythbuster's exit from this community wasn't exactly gentle. Towards the end, they had a really passionate hatred of the way their work was being treated post-release; unauthorized reuploads being chief among them (albeit mostly to third-party sites). @CrashHavenBNG Not trying to disparage, of course. It's possible Mythbuster has a different outlook now than they did circa ~2015, and I don't want to speak for them. Keep doing what you're doing and hope to get permission soon, but I would just advise keeping an open mind.
The issue with the automatic (I think) is that the final drive ratio is way too long, so it its stuck in first gear when accelerating. When I reached about 75 MPH in it, I let off the gas to let it cruise. It shifted down into third, and the RPMs were roughly just about 1000 RPM, which is just too low for such a large vehicle with so little power and only 3 gears.
I believe that this may have been offered with the 4L60 in the Chevy P-series, of which the Bounder is based. Oh and I believe it was offered with a Allision AT540. The reason for that is that originally, (for some reason) this vehicle just didn't have a rear end ratio assigned, so from my understanding, I believe it is a final drive of 1:1. Now on the mod itself, I don't think the Belasco Diesel is a realistic option and I think the original Chevy 454 Big Block is a better option, or possibly, for keeping with the lore-friendliness, the Gavril 423/6.9L
OT: very nice finally the first caravan mod in beamng off topic: what the fuck is that profile picture bro
I feel like that's kinda the point of RVs. They're just supposed to be a a house on wheels, and underneath are really just a commercial truck. They aren't supposed to drive great at all. Tf you talking about that shit's tuff lmao. Also yeah, it's really nice.
most european RV's are mostly just delivery vans (like the Transit) with a camper upfit. i'd imagine those are slightly nicer to drive
