A bit of a noob question, but where is the entrance to the carpark? I've been driving around for a while and I can't find it. And yes, I've downloaded the new versions of both maps, I'm just blind.
It's right on the outskirts of the map, not really sure to describe it but if you turn right out of the default spawn and follow that road to the edge it should be on your left
game crashes loading the map, i thought i needed the carpark map too but still crashes with that mod installed, any ideas?
What's your PC specs? You need at least 16gb of ram and generally a decent pc to be able to even load it due to the sheer amount of assets
the only thing i learned from watching a british guy exploring Japan is: SUMIMASEN really good map btw
so amazing for a city but i see some weird glitches with the buildings where in some parts they dont show up but overall love it
Very interesting transition to the thread on the link from the exit from the parking lot, my mail message. Added your map to the favorites pool and saved this moment in the build, thanks! It's nice to contemplate the high quality of modifications!
Those aren't Glitches, those buildings were made that way cause in the actual Yakuza game you don't see those sides of the buildings, so the devs for Yakuza never textured or modeled them to save on space. Every little bit of a building, texture etc takes up space in the form of megabites, or even gigabites if it's all added up. So by cutting off parts of buildings it reduces the file size of the game taking it from something like 30gb down to more like 22gb because there isn't a bunch of unseen stuff and useless code in the file.
cant something be added there afterwards? vanilla textures whould do the trick, They are the only thing that don't look good in the map
Try finding every slight hole and modelling the back half of like 180 different model files (most of which have like 2-4 buildings per file), it's an abspolute massive time sink for something so tiny. Provided you stay inside the "playable" parts of the map (indicated by the minimap roads, my newer ports have barriers placed on the paths to indicate areas you're not supposed to pass) and keep the camera angles relatively normal you shouldn't be seeing anything abnormal. If you've got entire buildings missing in the middle of the map or something give further screenshots, pc info etc since that's not meant to happen and separate from the yakuza models not having backs
Honestly you'd be better off totally rebuilding a map from scratch at that point, but that would be starting from 0 and working your way up. Adding things to the pre-existing Yakuza map would be very time consuming and could lead to issues with errors and codes. The fact that the map is even in BeamNG is an accomplishment itself, than you add Carkillers lighting to it and it's even more of an amazing feat. Reality is, this map isn't meant to be driven on like West Coast or East Coast maps, it's more so for taking screenshots with the various car mods out there. Take for instance this screenshot I took a long time ago when this map first came out.
