Ye, hoping to get a working plow (raisable)
the engines vary hugely tbh, some are even electric!

Just realised I modelled the front wheels with leafsprimg suspension... What was I thinking lol. Need to redo that! It's current driven by the rear two wheels by the way

    Re: Rolock S4-D (Snow Groomer)

When I was little, I used to think snow plows ran on snow and they were like the alpha male of a group of snow mobiles.

I was, and still am, a very weird person.

Haha, this would defimatly dominate a snowmobile. talking of snow, someone needs to make a šnowy map or this will look out of pláče. Perhaps il have to do it :s.

    Re: Jefferson D-4s (Snow Groomer)

If you can get the torque-rpm graph for one of the electric ones you should try that.

For a brushed DC motor its simply max torque at 0 rpm and 0 torque at max rpm. But throw in some craziness with other motor types and that no longer holds true :/

    Big Update in first post!

Almost done the model, really looking for someone to teach me J-Beam now so i can do it all myself but if it proves to much i will probably turn to one of the old J-Beamers :p

I don't know very much, so I'm probably not your guy, but have you tried using Real Time Vehicle Editor, it makes the whole process a lot easier.

The model looks stellar btw, good job man!

I swear you better either get it finished yourself, or have another vet Jbeamer help. This cannot get canceled. Lol

    6.7 Cummins ;O

Plenty of low end tq to haul this big fella around.

I have a mod that has the closest specs to a cummins I could get in my sig.

That is cute lol. What kind of engine is gonna be in it? an electric motor? mini diesel engine?

    Re: Prinoth T4-S (Snow Groomer)

i think both haha. I plan to make two options, probably a diesel ror towing planes, and an electric for the baggage trolley variant. The baggage trolley edition is also likely to lack the roof.
Its actually surprisingly large aswell. should be fun to crash i think.

Electric would probably be the best option to offer the low end torque these things need in my opinion.

    //Update in first thread//

    summary:

    Totally remodelled the D4-S.
Now has 6 wheel steer, a lot of polies, and a hydraulic power-train.
It looks nearly photo-real from some angles now:
    fin2.JPG
Also made a trailer for it using one from euro-truck simulator as a reference.
    tray3.JPG
Will probably make this tow able alongside the release of the T-75 so it can be made cross compatible between them.

    Its all in the render!

The trailer is actually very very low poly. If anyone wants to J-Beam the trailers i would be happy to let you have a go because i eally want a fifth wheel on my dually D-15 to pull some stuff about.
