is Modland safe?

I found this on modland, Not sure it's safe and I wanted to ask if it's a leak because ive been looking for a 92 vic mod for awhile

It has that "scanned for viruses" crap of the download too. Really wanna find the original mod if there is

No I'm looking specifically for the 1st gen 92-97 crown vic, not the [no disrespect but] overused 98-11 model

 

ive been trying to find something new since i dont trust gumroad and modland but i think ill just stick with official mods

 

Well, you can never trust Modland.

 

I used modland once every week or 3 days, for like a dentist-checkup cause' there's some good mods (1 in a 100,000). I use Opera GX (default) ad blocker and I'm fine.

 

mate. stop assuming that "3rd party" means "EW VIRUS DANGEROUS" or "OFF BRAND GARBAGE MODS". it doesnt. how about yall grow to trust modland for once and realize that the virus scan thing is true. also, if you are suspicious of a mod having a virus, check the comments. dont use that virustotal garbage. its wrong half the time.

That’s the 2 things that are true on 3rd party sites tho, at least the latter.
Either stolen, leaked or trash.

modland is just a site to reupload other peoples mods lol, most mods on there are leaked or stolen from forums, very few mods are original on there

 

not necessarily true. ive found A LOT of really good mods on there. besides. if its unrealistic, half of what i post is just screenshots. so if you're like me, it doesnt really matter. i will create a modland recommended mods thread if yall want me to.

Thank you for asking good sir, I am happy to share that modland.com is a safe resource for downloading a wide variety of modules composed by notable artists over the years. Personally I browse their catalogue from time to time, however the variety at modarchive.org and AMP is more vast.

 

modland is safe as in it doesn't give virus's but it is true to say almost all mods are stolen or leaked, I've seen my mods reposted and some people i knew had all their mods leaked, if u don't care bout that its fine i guess but as a modder its a pretty disrespectful site

 

mod's actually half decent. its got custom sounds, opening doors, amazing model, and an amazing interior. i do wish it had more configs though.

 

I did multiple windows security and 2 winRAR scans and they said it's, I even looked through some of the files in the mod to see if any of them were malicious.

 

I would suggest sticking to the forums, those websites are usually crappy meshslaps full of viruses

Tried it and and haven't seen anything happen and it looks like a pretty good mod but I deleted it out of paranoia

It's rather high quality for modland and that's why I'm suspicious
