Why Is there ETK engines in the files? --- Post updated --- the one at the first post is the last updated one with better textures and doesn't have custom sounds I recommend that one for now until sounds are finished and I add more updated tires --- Post updated --- I like the custom sounds. It kinda sounds like a diesel. Maybe I could have someone model a powerstroke diesel and I would code It because I cant model and I understand 90% of how the engines work and with the ETK files I could add thermals modified for the 351 high output currently in the truck. maybe later I will check to make shure that the 351H.O. is tuned properly and add a detuned verson and a manual tranny for now until I can get help with the body jbeam so it crashes like a Bronco shouid.
switched in back with the bronco engine when custom sounds were added it was there to see if i could get the thermals to work
ill try again another time. for the past hour I couldnt get it to work :/ --- Post updated --- Tried to make a seperate engine file for the bronco 400M, and also added the .jbeam for a NP435 manual. Id play around with the various other values in testing the vehicle, but im still unable to load it :/
--- Post updated --- thanks --- Post updated --- added the 3 speed w/ overdrive but I would like to know how to make tuning for the 351 in the truck. As the truck has the H.O. version but I have no idea if it is tuned properly and I want to make the H.O an option on the 351 instead of a separate engine. will release after the tuning for the 351 is done.
If i were you, id go to the path C:/programfilesX86/steam/steamapps/common/beamng/content/vehicles. Look for the pickupenginev8.jbeam file under either pickup.zip, or common.zip and look at how the tuning is setup. How in the world are you getting this mod to work? still cant get it to show up, are you on the current version of beamng?
I will throw this out there if you guys need help with a realistic torque curve, I can do it with automation just tell me what HP you want it to be around and what engine.
Here is a repacked version with all the latest updates in this thread. Drag and drop into mods folder. --- Post updated --- Below
let me find the power ratings of all the engines I want to put in this thing. A list of stuff that may or may not make it into the bronco is on the first page. There is a list of engines there.I want to replace the 351 HO in it with a normal 351 and make the HO a tuning option for now and the others will come when I can get models for them
Let me know, I can try get them as close to reality as possible. @JBatic try this and see what you think, its based it off of the regular 351M. Its not exactly the same numbers but its very similar. (I could get it in automation).
here's specs for a 1980 351 m motor peak hp and torque hp 138 @ 3400 torque 263 @ 2000 redline 5000?, 4000 I don't know I couldn't find it on the internet but I am guessing maybe 4500 looking at the hp and torque --- Post updated --- let me add this to the current engine jbeam and add the HO as a tuning option then i will post the zip with the right automatic tranny instead of that crazy 5 speed
Here is what i can suggest for this mod. abbility to use the wheel system so you can use the offload wheels. more depth to the front guards as they seem too thin (just use the structure from the d series or if you are lucky ask stoatmuldoo. glass breaking sounds suspension sounds fire thermal simulation. rear cap to be separated from the body.
did you install it like this open "bronco.zip" cut the folder called "bronco" and paste it in documents/beamng.drive/vehicles --- Post updated --- most of those @JBatic already mentioned he is trying to do
tried adding tuning to a normal 351 M motor and I broke the truck. can someone tell me what I did wrong. I modified the stage 1 tuning for the pickup into the HO tune
