Currently, on low, I can get an even 30 FPS on Utah, but on lowest, I get 40-50 FPS on Utah, but I use low because Lowest isn't worth it because I wanna see Beam's detail!
Yeah, Utah is pretty intensive, my current build gets about 24 fps on average on Utah, about 35 to 40 on grid map, both on the highest settings, strangely enough low settings only boost me about 2 or 3 frames. But it is to be expected when running on a crappy CPU from 2009 which is also running hot lol. Can't wait for my new hardware.
I have that Cpu and amount of ram, but an rx 460 2gb and I get 50fps highest settings with almost max reflections on Utah with up to 4 tseries.
Yeah, I usually use modded maps such as Garfield Heights or Matrix Freeway. And the odd thing is that on ECA, I was getting like 30 on Highest, but now I get 20- 23 avg. on lowest. It's a major difference.
I dunno dude, definitely not Minecraft or Roblox but maybe Beam, just don't expect anything over medium settings 45 fps. Lol
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dgdJTH this one? Might do this, but still thinking about processor/GPU combo's The I5-7 is also good, and I may want to go to a higher res than 1080, but I have no plans to go 4k or VR with the current screen prices.
I would say back off the CPU a tiny bit and buy a GTX 1080. Games tend to use more GPU then CPU, another thing is i5's and i7's perform extremely similar in games, you'll only notice a difference in synthetic benchmarks and large rendering projects. So my recommendation would be to get a 7th gen i5 or a i5-6600K and get the 1080.
But if playing sims, like BeamNG, then even basic GPU runs it well enough, but even fast CPU is easily brought on it's knees. Of course need for fast GPU increase with a resolution, one has to keep that in mind, but at least I could use double the cores of i7.
The 1050Ti is not, as you call it, a "basic GPU." It currently shares the most advanced GPU core with the 1050. Yes, it may be entry-level, but it's still much more pricey than what you can buy used.
Sure you can get lot of stuff used, but if buying new GPU, performance / price ratio is quite incredible and thus it is quite popular. For anyone building PC for gaming purposes, I would think that performance level to be quite basic level, you don't want to go lower than that and it does run BeamNG surprisingly well.
Which one would run better? I'm thinking I should've gone with the top build instead of my current one. (Plus M-ITX, M-ATX is HUGE) Pentium G4620 8Gb DDR4 GTX 1050 1080p vs I3-6100 8Gb DDR4 RX 460 2Gb 1080p
i7 6700k (most likely @ 4.2 Ghz per core) 16 GB DDR4 2400 RAM GTX 1070 8 GB 1440p Maybe someone could estimate the FPS? Thanx in advance
Should go around 60-50fps maxed out. I have now this setup: i5 6600K @ 4.5GHz Watercooled 16GB DDR4 @ 3100MHz CL15 GTX 1070 Palit Super JetStream Playing on 1080p - every map over 80fps with all settings maxed out and dynamic reflections maxed out too (only faces per update at 2nd lowest - still very smooth). I can play demolition derby by bidwars at almost stable 60fps with 4 cars on map. Post edit: @-randy- If you wish I can test it on my TV and check performance on 1440p and 4K. @fufsgfen I'll test it later after I'll be back at home.
I would love to see CPU individual cores load graph from Glass view mountain map town area from your system, because on that map shadows kill my CPU, i7-6700 and I know it is all about single core performance, your overclocked CPU should be faster on that, but I'm curious if it can keep 60fps. Many addon maps with lot of objects have few spots where my fps goes down because single core performance with shadows on is not enough, I doubt there is CPU that would handle that without overclocking. Or then, it is only on my system where shadows are using CPU instead of GPU?
Computer: Dell OptiPlex 980 Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 980 Monitor: Acer 22" LCD CPU: Intel core i7 Keyboard: Tt eSports Gaming USB keyboard Mouse: Tt eSports Gaming Mouse WILL THIS RUN BEAMNG??!!
Any AMD3+ processors that run Beamng well? I have now old and cheap FX-4100 and it runs max 3 cars fine, but spawn more than 3 cars and fps starts to be unplayable.
