Actually the Civic EF9 has the same rear end as well, you can eliminate the Metro from it

Look at the rear of a Wonder Civic too

 

The car also reminds me a-bit of the Subaru Justy, difference being that the Subaru Justy is all-wheel drive.

 

Subaru Justy is also a Geo/Chevrolet/Suzuki/Pontiac version of the Metro. Unless you meant that.

 

I'm thinking Mitsubishi Colt/Mirage from late 80's/early 90's, even the name hints at it.
I had one and in the same colour blue, in Australia.
