I love the concept but they look funky like weird it's like a Disney Pixar version of the cars the bodys seem off? are they originally automation bodys?
they aren't related to automation in any way, my goal was to actually make covet look like civic, not to make a replica. if i were to make a replica i would make a separate model but i don't like the way replicas look. i prefer to have an covet edited to look like civic to a 1:1 replica
but you can get so much cleaner results from making a cratch model while still keeping many civic styling cues, you just wont get something good looking from this
I just don't understand why you'd willingly go through 500% more effort just to make something that's objectively worse as opposed to just making a lore-based variant of a pre-existing 92-00 Civic model.
cause the EK (civic 6) was made earlier and i just took midsize headlights and placed it in modified EK front. beside that, i really enjoyed making the mod and fixing bugs, learning new things and on top of all, i can make what i want
@barabash Figured I might as well add my two cents here... First of all if your goal is to make a 1:1 Honda civic (be it a real Civic, or a Civic with Ibishu badges slapped on), than you should use a Civic model, be it made from scratch by you or one used from another source such as a game, sketchfab ect.. (the latter you will need to credit the author obviously) If your goal is also to make a 1:1 Civic then bin the Covet parts, because the Covet is not a 1:1 replica of a Civic (though it is somewhat close), and it is also completely the wrong generation to make an EK Otherwise yeah I don't mean to throw any shade but the current model could use some serious improvements quality wise. My best advice would be to practice some basic modeling techniques/follow the plenty of blender tutorials there are on youtube, and once you feel more confident in your skills then you can tackle modeling a car Even if you are not skilled in modeling enought to model a whole car, it is fine to use a mesh from a game (so long as you credit) and work from there
as far as it goes i want it to be just a "facelift for the covet" instead of like a large mod, for now it only weights about 17 mb, and i want to keep it small but interesting. it's only supposed to mimic of civics. i'm still a begginer i know some things need to be fixed and i will fix them when i know how to. i want to fix as many things as i can before release. also i'm planning to change some covet parts for my own scratch made civic-ey looking parts, mostly interior. i want to keep the mod as simple as possible and to create least ammount of textures, beacouse i'm really bad at it. you can contact me in PM if you want to directly support the mod. the mod quality will surely improve with time, by now it's only the first week of making it, i only made like a "base" which i will modify, improve and add more parts and stuff like that.
DC2 front end? hoping this is just a modificaiton option as id love for them to resemble the original cars. Looking good though glad to see progress
