This might be true, but notice how it is just so perfect to the color of the rest of the car, plus there is a small dark spot on it, do skies have small dark fuzzy spots? Also the holes in the engine bay your red line goes over curves in a little bit as it heads towards the fire wall and if it were to curve further inward or still stay in that position it would no longer line up with the blue spot in question. As well the hood deformation hints to that spot ever so slightly. I rest my case.

Anyway looking forward to this car, I can't wait to drive it and I have some pretty neat ideas for this car picture wise. :)

I wonder if other AMD folks are seeing improvements. I'm liking the way the BX crashes....friggin' A-pillars from hell.

I've been taking it around Hirochi Raceway (long circuit) and let me tell you even the base model car drives quite well. The base model is a little slow but predictable and you can still coax the back end out with some effort. The race version is noticeably more difficult but it's got plenty of grip so it's not a huge challenge to keep it on the proverbial straight and narrow. The drift version is...I'm not a drifter, so for me it's damn near uncontrollable. But it does really good donuts.

And it does crack up about the way I'd expect a mid-priced coupe from the 90s to crack up.

    1. Oh god I have a fast mid 90's japanease coupe to play with. I'm in love, this thing is 90's as fuck. Also, one of the best deforming vehicles so far. Fantastic work.

    2. The first thing I usually notice when I start having accidents is bumper deformation. I did a good amount of college engineering coursework on car bumper systems and I've since been quite enthusiastic about car bumpers and shock absorbtion systems. But that's beside the point. When I pay attention to the way the bumpers behave for the 200bx, I notice the mesh cutting which may be intentional. but that the plastic bumper for this car is a nosecone with two flat parts protruding out to form the sides. Like the rear bumper of a Nissan Sylvia.

I see these bumpers coming off all the time when I get to enjoying a few drift videos. They tend to bend (and eventually snap and tear) around the area I've circled

    circled.png

As it is now, the 200BX's bumpers are held very rigidly by a cental node, "rb5" and "fb5". So i'm just wondering if you might take the small detail into account, and allow the sides to bend off the cone part of the 200BX's front and rear bumpers. It would look better as they drag on the floor because the main part of the bumper can then bend away from the car as you drive. small thing, but I figured I'd suggest it.

    Additional

I just noticed the way the race spoiler comes apart, The supports break off in two places... it's such a small detail but that's SO COOL.

it would be funny to see a more stripped down base version. with no tacho so the temperature and fuel gauge can be bigger and black bumpers

I think I've found a minor bug with this car.

You can still drive it even when the driveline is shattered, wich is not supposed to happen.

    Few small things of note.

Front lights when opened shake like crazy, may be a known issue.

    5LJfaB0.gif

The wide body quarterpanels are one sided in some places, noticeable when rear bumper is removed.

Other than that I haven't noticed anything wrong. Great work on the car I love the body design and the way it handles.

Is there a reason its really hard for me to edit the DAE? When I open the .Dae in blender its just all black except for the hood.

Go to the material and change the color. I have no idea how to do it in blender though.

Suggestion: Rebadge as Gavril Bandit VII and modify the front and rear fascia to (slightly) resemble a modernized version of the Bandit.

Loving the Type-L alloys. We need those on the Pessima too

i like this idea. We only have one gavril at the moment and i rather like the brand name. shouldnt be too hard either. just make some mods to front bumper/fasia and rear bumper/fasia as you said. I think something more american/european would be cool. like These bumpers guard thingys would be cool on it for euro version.
