How to make an engine sound standalone?

    Hello everyone, I am kind of new here and I don't know if I am posting this in the right place but I have a question.

    Is it possible to make a custom engine sound standalone?

    If this is possible, can someone please tell me how to do this?
    I am trying to make a good V8 Diesel sound for the Gavril D-Series, but all the sounds overwrite the standard V8 sounds. I still want to be able to use those engine sounds as well, without having to constantly go back to the mods settings and disabling the sound mod.
