How do I make terrain material transitions smoother?

Hi all,

I'm new to map creation and I'm making my first map.

Is it possible to make transitions to different material smoother? I dont like the block like appearance

 

for PBR materials only with a basecolormap texture. See how it’s done in the vanillamaps.
