If we get lucky it will be AWD, you know, like Nissan GT-R

I really like the Shooting Brake design, but i can't see how that will be rear engined.

Edit : i read the first post and there is stated that it will be AWD ^.^

Reckon a flat 6 could fit over that rear axle and make a nice change of layout from all the inlines and V's we've had so far

Nice, but I feel the roof is too tall...

To be honest I feel there's something wrong with the proportions and design with this car. It's my opinion, I just don't like it. :) But I'm still excited to get it in the game tough.

Question to Gabester, is this the final design of the car?

I must agree that the proportions of this car are wrong. The roof is too tall and too long, the back slopes at too constant an angle. Makes the car look extremely blocky and outsized.

How can it be wrong if there are no rights?

Hardy har har. Still, while there are no concrete "rights" in automotive styling, you must admit this car looks rather bricklike. Personally, I'm inclined to go for something low and curvaceous instead, though good luck making a shooting brake that fits that description.

Because there aren't any wrongs in design right?

I listed my criticisms ages ago in this thread. It's odd styling more than anything. Definitely sets it apart from the Grand Marshals and Wendovers and 2400is.

But, the car is not based on a real car, which means it can be anyway it wants. If it were based on a Hyudai Veloster, then you can say things are wrong, but since it is an original which is very loosely based of a real car, it can be anyway it likes.

I guess it seems a bit weird as there is really no real car like the SBR4. It's certainly no GT-R (the engine is at the other end of the car after all).

The design is growing on me though, I like to think of it as a Porsche 911 crossed with a Panamera, made in Japan for some weird reason (Maybe all of the ETK engineers defected in the 90s:p) Given the rear engine, should be able to get the back out (and hopefully the 4WD can stop the spin of death). Should make for some spectacular crashes;)

Are you entirely sure about that?

Yes, as the Veloster and the SBR4 are mechanically completely different, and will behave as such.

SBR4: Shooting brake. Rear engine, 4WD. Japanese. Two door.
Veloster: Hatch. Front engine, FWD. Korean. Curious three door-plus hatch bodystyle.

You're too young to be this drunk.

Speaking of the Veloster, I've had an unusual desire to get an LHD and RHD version, cut them exactly down the middle, and join each half, thus creating a conventional 3 and 5 door hatch:p
