So my old Seagate hard drive is an old girl, not very fast.

So I decided to install the game on an SSD I bought not too long ago. All game files are on the SSD, the whole Steamapps thing whatever...

Now i'm asking myself : Why does it look like the HDD is still doing all the work ? I still get random freezes right when the HDD light is indicating the hard drive is working at full load.

I double-checked even via Steam, everything is (supposedly) installed on the SSD. Am I missing something ?

I don't really have the experience or knowledge to help.... but, I have an old HDD that occasionally freezes and stops existing (for about 20 sec), and although none of my programs or OS are on it - it just contains movies- whenever it freezes, my entire computer locks up whatever i'm doing for the same amount of time it takes for it to come back to life. If I remove it from my system the problem goes. Perhaps this is the same scenario? Try unplugging the HDD and see if your problem goes?

If you haven't changed the BeamNG.drive user folder location, then the cache and mods are still stored on the same drive your Documents folder is on.

Your OS is still installed on the HDD, and could most likely be the reason.
I think a better idea would be to install your Windows on the SSD.
