Try to align it a bit more centrally, and if it only latches on one side, try moving it left to right and see if that fixes it. Having the ramps aligned and central right below where you're attaching yields the best results. But they still are and always will be finicky lol
The length of the gooseneck seems to be too short. need a long gooseneck that can fill up the empty space in the screenshot on the right. It would be nice to be able to select this as an option in the parts selector... View attachment 1150778 This is because the landing gear of a pickup truck is dragged on the ground with the current short gooseneck, making vehicle transportation impossible. ...For example, something this long. Or, it would be nice to have it adjustable with hydraulics or something like that... edit - Anyway, even if the landing gear height wasn't an issue, the deck was so close to the bed that it would be difficult to run on any ramps. I think it would be good to raise it to this level.
The gooseneck coupler height is adjustable in the tuning menu. The kingpin variants have it raised up as much as possible, along with raised landing gear to comfortably have the T-series fit under it. You can do the opposite and extend it for the pickup
I was stupid! I knew about that function, but I thought 100% was the longest setting and didn't think about adjusting it...! Now it's perfect.
It needs ramps that work without the need of the node-grabber, which need a decent bit of debugging. I stated on the Durham thread that I've now got a job so that'll take away from most of the modding that's I can do, but I have an idea for the ramps so it is probably doable just once I get to it
0.33 added the MD series, so that should be a good middleground between the three P's that sums up the D series compared to the overpowered T series
Yup. Keep in mind the landing gear and hitch height are both adjustable in the tuning menu so anyone wishing to use the gooseneck with the MD's taller bed can just tweak with those values to get them to line it up
While the mod is finally getting the negative reviews I thought it would get off the bat because it's very finicky, I wanted to say I've updated the main description and the first post about the fact that the trailer should now be usable in career due to nodegrab being available (only in walking mode)! Not much to do with it as it doesn't have any cargo box options but you should be able to use it nonetheless.
OMGGG i was making a video on the durham and was clicking on your profile and checking out you mods and just thought i go threw the comments again and i just saw this!!!! pretty soon Raceless will have his Mod out for Career mode and the plan is to have more then one car out in Car jockey missions so it will be really interesting to see those two mods work together!
ah, didn expect to see you here, but im the person commenting with the drawn picture of earth or a moon usually on your channel also the one who edited their comment on your most recent vid to state I wrote it at 40 seconds after uploaded lol
When creating this trailer, I've made it so the axles are a separate material and can be entirely swapped over to other similar sized trailers. I'm thinking about making a new trailer(s) that will be about the same weight rating as these, what sort of trailers would you like to see? I'll list a few viable examples below that could be done in all 3 hitch styles and several axle configurations but feel free to suggest any unmentioned but similar sized trailer styles. They could be bumperpull, gooseneck, pintle or even fifthwheel if offered. Fixed frame dumper Dovetail Hydraulic dovetail Low profile dovetail Basic flatbed
If I may make a suggestion. I'd love to see an enclosed gooseneck trailer for car hauling. As an example:
All of them looks really good . You can even make them in all kind of size and length but I use trailers for car transportation so something solid and easy to use is something I really appreciate ! Maybe you can check out how people uses trailers so guide you make the perfect next one ?
