The "more realistic" textures thats on the lower LODs are a smaller resolution, and is mapped to a lower poly model. They may look better but thats LODs doing its job, up close it may look worse and meshes not as detailed. All problems, aside from the obvious "tears" between chunks, is a direct result of the difference between beam and gta usage of models (3D space?). I do plan to clean up floating parts, like the centerlines on roads and the edges of cliff faces.
Please clarify which version. As i just said yesterday, im flooded with work, leaving little time do work on it. Im first finishing the LODmap so that theres a "full gta v" map for beam. The hd version of V is slow progress as im manually adding the vegetation to beams forest system. IV has little popgress on it. I also dont want to release "small" updates every week. This was opened early tp get feedback on performance across various systems.
Take as much time as is necessary with this, we would much rather it be high quality rather than rushed. Hugely looking forward to this, thank you for all your work!
Small update on the progress, ive ordered a new gpu and 32gb of ram to further continue the work. Ive been struggling to load everything needed in blender, and ingame with the editor open, ive started to get stutters because of high ram usage. I am almost done with the LOD map, and the 2nd part on the HD map.
i was testing the gta IV map and i love it i hope this project can be finally done good job porting the map i cant wait to see the whole liberty city in beamng good job!
Please get liberty city done first!! 5 has already partially been done by someone else. But id love to finally have iv's map in beam

back after a bit and tested out the LC map, its great, but the only thing is the LOD pop in is horrible. I cant really take pictures because all you can see is a blue void slightly further off
