Shomi is terrible. Take my word for it, it's slow and has nothing to offer.

I'm pretty sure the Corsair's Cove will have it. Although whether you want to venture there or not is your decision.

Nah, go for it. You just need to know where to start, luckily for you that is getting easier as time goes by. Most companies that preduce DAW software (digital audio workstation software) are starting to release free starter editions. There are also a couple free DAW's such as sunvox but they tend to have a steeper learning curve due to lack of documentation among other things. There are also free demos for most software. For example the software that i use (Ableton) has a time limited free trial of the full version, it is also incredibly easy to aquire via alternate means, but if you actually plan on sharing anything you make you are a scumbag if you dont pay :p

There is also software that can make the music theory side of things easier, for example tone space is a plugin that will help you get cool sounding chords and so on without having to know all about the different scales and how to play them, although i would reccomend that you learn them since they will help you a ton.

There are also loads of YouTube tutorials showing how to use all of the major peices of software on the market and you can run most of the software on an intel atom with 2gb of ram if you want, which i can say with experience. Of course you will only be able to do some of the complex stuff on higher end machinary, but a desktop i3 is more than enough.

You know about that English competion that I posted about a month or so ago?
So, we got the results, and I'm quite happy about them.
In my school I'm 1st out of 71 people.
In my country I'm 6th out of roughly 2100 people.
In Germany I'm 485th out of 45000 people.
The results are sorted in age groups, by the way.
Then again, the only grade I've been getting in English since we started getting grades in it was an A.
That's probably because I actually started getting interested in English when I was about 4 years old.
I don't wanna talk too much about that right now though.
Also, I'm apperently supposed to get a big supprise at the end of the school year, so that's something to get hyped about, I guess.
It's only like two weeks until school is over anyways.
I'm gonna stop writing now, since I don't want this to get too long.
If you have any questions about this thing or anything else, just drop me a PM, and I might read it if I get the time to.

    Hehe.
Yes, but I'm too lazy to think about where to put them.
Aslong as you understand what the post is about, it's not that bad (well, atleast that's how I think of it)

Someone once told me that you can fall in love with a PC. I said no.

My rig is awesome, I like it. It serves every purpose I need it to, but I don't love it. It'd sell it in a nano-second.

But, you fall in love with a Mac. http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/sop/5053696443.html As I have with that one. I'd sell my rig away for it. I'd take it home, tear it down, clean it. And slowly upgrade it. Ram, hard drives, Xeon CPUs (yes, CPUs, as in more than one, dual socket), flashed GPUs, a blu-ray burner, a sound card... Windows 10 with bootcamp.

I want that Mac Pro. I really, really want that Mac Pro.

yeah but your also a mac fanboy

so of course you'd say that

of course, if we want to get technical you just contradicted yourself, PC = personal computer, a mac is a personal computer, so you basically just said that you'd sell your pc in a nano second and that you wouldn't love a pc, then stated you'd love a pc and you'd sell a much more powerful pc to get it

    ;)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

anyway, onto another topic, i've been watching doctor who (starting with season 1 of the new series, which who i believe is the ninth doctor?)

anything i should know as i go on watching it?

    - - - Updated - - -

    yeah, i don't know

i have no problem arr'ing games that i'd like to try to make sure they run well enough for me, but when it comes to tv shows/movies it just feels wrong and horrible, i can't do it

plus i've seen a lot of people on the internet talk about getting an email from the ISP with a DMCA from the content owner, being that i don't own the isp account (parents do) i don't want to risk that, as i'd be dead if that happened

Fun fact : Even though I am German and I live in Germany, I'm still better at English than I am at German.
Sometimes I'm in the middle of a German sentence, and I just throw an English word in there, because I can't remember the German one.
It's really weird, because I actually see the thing that I want to say in front off me, but I just don't know what it's called.
Then there's also some words that I only know in English.
I know what they mean, but I just don't know what their German counterparts would be, so I end up trying to explain them untill the people taht I'm talking to just call me crazy and walk away.

    tl;dr

    I'm a very weird person.

Stick with it. Not because it necessarily gets better, but because the show is a roller coaster bounding between hills of beautifully terrifying adversaries, and valleys of downright laughable ones (it frequently references its campy 60's origins and has accordingly bad CGI). Just stay seated, keep your arms and legs within the couch, and you'll enjoy the ride.

To be fair, if it's no longer available via legitimate means, sometimes illegitimate means are the only reasonable way to consume or even preserve some media. I don't think this is the case here, and I'm pretty sheepish about pirating, too, but there are some good reasons to pirate. Emphasis on "some."

Edit: I just noticed, this thread exceeded one million views. June 23, 2015. A red-letter day.

And that's how you piss me off.

I am not a Mac "fanboy". A fanboy worships a certain object, like Dallas Cowboys fans, for example. Fanboys fail to acknowledge the flaw in the certain taste they prefer. I acknowledge the flaws shown in a Mac, but I look past these flaws to see the system for what it is. I have started to do this with Microsoft offerings as well. There are places for both platforms, but I perfer the Mac for its aesthetics.

Also, I was using PC as a general term for Windows devices. I obviously should have been more clear.

Oh, and if you were "poking fun", I do not find it funny.

It was hard to keep my composure here. Robins grow up so fast. *sheads tear*

One of my really good friends just turned up missing. I hope someone finds her, she's an awesome person.

Please, God let her still be alive. I don't need another funeral for a friend. One was bad enough.
