Re: General discussion chat Good news! The Dacia... Duster IS coming to the U.K.! The Gaming Channel would like to welcome logoster to our community! We should be expecting videos from him and all of us within the next coming weeks!
Re: General discussion chat So it turns out Steam won't let me gift games to people in the US. Damn you valve, I was gonna gift someone bad rats.
Re: General discussion chat And the H45 has finished printing! It's a somewhat recognizable mess that I can put stuff in. View attachment DSC_0460.jpg View attachment DSC_0459.jpg View attachment DSC_0458.jpg Still haven't pulled off all the supports yet. Those things are annoying. I'll be trying the covet next and it should turn out a little better.
Re: General discussion chat Idk if gabe is going to love you are hate you. nice work tho, you can try the pidgeon as it is a lot simpler.
Re: General discussion chat It's not like I'm going to sell it The Pigeon's on the list of cars to try. Currently I've gotten the covet edited and ready for a test print with wheels. I'd like to make sure the Pigeon will print nicely since it's one of my favorite cars.
Re: General discussion chat Dude if it will roll I'll buy one from ya You have zero clue how bad I've wanted to do that! Get rid of the windows also. Put sport wheels too
Re: General discussion chat Well...my test print is in progress right now. I decided to keep the windshield and back window since I took out the interior. I'll definitely try to remove all the windows and include some of the interior if this print goes well. I doubt there is an easy way to get 3D printed wheels to move, but I'll look in to it since I've been wondering the same thing.
Re: General discussion chat Well with the current model you can't you would have to make a simple spindle that gets printed with it. Delete the axles make something attached to the car and a bar from the rim that slides in it ya know
Re: General discussion chat Thats the thing though, Lil Kimmy J doesnt have any power outside of his own country. Sure, he can try and send a few missiles over seas (and fail) and he can shell South Korea with 1950s soviet surplus artillery, but once that happens, he will be flattened, and he knows it, so he isnt going to do anything. I guarantee it. Same as his daddy. They always want to show how much power they have, and they do this because they know that they really have *none*. Its like a dude with a small dick showing off his giant truck. Sure, maybe he has it, and he insists that its "badass" (lol) But no matter what he does to his truck, he still has a micropenis
Re: General discussion chat hey man, dont talk about the glorious supreme leader like that not cool bro not cool
Re: General discussion chat the problem with these vehicles is the sheer amount of bridges you have to print, those are why the H45 came out so wonky. You need to break the model down into smaller pieces which can be reassembled and also re-orient pieces to match accordingly. The H45 I would have broken down into the chassis, cab, box and wheels. The wheels printed with the backside facing the print bed. Cab printed upright. The floor of the cargo box would be part of the chassis with the chassis being printed upside down (ensuring cargo box remains flat bottomed) and the cargo box also printed upside down.
Re: General discussion chat Your Intel build was better, even with a placeholder CPU, since you would just replace it as soon as you could afford a good CPU.
Re: General discussion chat The i3 isn't a proper gaming CPU, just a more expensive placeholder. You'd also buy an H87 board, H = no overclocking, 87 = no 4690K/4790K. I'd say buy a good Z97 board with the Pentium as a placeholder until you can afford a 4690K, then buy one together with a 212 Evo (or water cooling if you really care about looks). - - - Updated - - - I might scrap my laptop idea for some PC upgrades. Is a GTX 970 worth buying or should I wait another year for the next gen? My 270 can go for another year and half or so with no problems at all. And if I do buy a 970, which is better? I'd go straight for EVGA but many ACX 2.0 cards are having coil whine issues. Mostly it's Gigabyte or MSI and I think I'd buy a Gigabyte card just for the awesome Windforce cooler :|
Re: General discussion chat I have the MSI one, its silent most of the time due to the fans turning off and when they are on it is still inaudible inside my system. It stays cool and boosts very high as well. But be warned, i am not having the greatest experience with my gtx970 due to an issue that a number of people have been complaining about for 4 months. Nvidia say that they haven't been able to replicate the issue yet. The issue affects people no matter which brand of 970 (or 980) that they have. The problem is that some people are finding that they are getting low frame rates in certain games while the cards are barely being utilized. Some games such as BeamNG have issues for me while others such as FarCry4 run just fine. In BeamNG i only get around 10fps better than my 560ti did and on that section of map its practically the same. Here is a video demonstrating the issue: Sorry about the video quality, i need to update the OS on my phone due to a camera bug. As far as i am aware this issue is only effecting some people and not all so you should probably be fine, i am very interested to see how other 970's are coping at that section of map though.
Re: General discussion chat My internet is downloading at 7.6KB/s.... I don't know why it's so bad tonight.
Re: General discussion chat i just realized something neat, if i do get a 760, if i register it, then once the gtx 960 is out i can use EVGA's setup up program and upgrade practically free (i believe it's like, a $10 fee)
