My HP printer is the biggest pile of crap I've ever seen. It's absolutely horrendous. On the other hand, my grandma's HP printer is absolutely fantastic.

Ours has never skipped a beat, its only a basic one, but it was pretty cheap too.

    I refuse to own a Pentium :|
Seriously though, I've used Pentium/Celeron laptops and they are utterly terrible.
I might get a Lenovo G50 with an i3-4005U, it's not so bad despite the low clock speed and it's quite cheap. It will be a few months though, since I have to change my phone first and I can't afford both things at once.
I never planned to buy a laptop right now, I just want to know what's good.

In my experience HP makes good laptops with horrible cooling.

I hate when you have a project due and your dang group members won't email you back. I can't contact them to tell them what to do. Honestly this is a bunch of bull. I told them to check their emails and they haven't. If they don't do this, I'll have to write another 11 pages on top of the 8 I've already written.

I have an older HP all in one printer I got for like $10 at a tag sale. It prints double sided and takes like 7 ink cartridges. It's pretty good, except for the non working scanner. (Probably my fault.)

As for the $100 tablet, I'd like one of those but if I were going to buy one I'd save up a bit more for the Dell Venue 8 Pro. (More RAM, bigger screen, etc. I see them for around $140ish.) But, if I had the money, I'd rather get a decent netbook. (Latitude E4300 or something similar. I plan on getting one sometime.)

the only windows tablet i'd like to get is a surface pro 3

    but they be expensive :p

as for printers, HP is pretty much king of printers (i've never once had a problem with any hp printer ever, can't say the same for other brands i've had)

    Capture.PNG
That is supposedly it printing the missing character at 30,30; then "Hello, World!" in size 2 font at 0,0; then 0xDEADBEEF\nHey at 60,60 in size 6 font. However my font loader is not complete and currently the font only actually has data for 'H' in it. The code for writing to display also only has special handling routines for \n and will otherwise try to print all characters regardless of them being printable or not.

My laptop is good. But there's some bias of course. But I love it.

(I just might have joined Head-Fi and added a link to my account there, so there might be some more audiophiles here.)

    @bluescreen

do the suggestions i posted not work for your needs? (the new ones, or have you just not seem em yet)

    - - - Updated - - -

ugh, hp's partition setup is absolutley HORRIBLE

can't make a new partition without windows trying to make the ENTIRE drive dynamic, meaning i can't install windows 8.1 without replacing windows 7, which is not what i want to do, i want a dual-boot setup

just seriously hp, you already have horrible cooling, don't make it worse for yourself by having a horrible partition setup
