I would if i could :p I already have a rifle (a 60 year old .22 handed down through my family) but ive been wanting a mosin for a long ass time now. Unfortunately, my want for living in a powered, heated house was stronger than my want for the russian cannon.

Hang on, I'm a random internet person who once glanced over a few Wikipedia entries for cryptography. If the Dunning-Kruger effect applies here, this is as confident as I'll ever be that I can crack the code.

    Caesar Cypher:
    HQIBPEXEZMUG
    =
    KTLESHAHCPXJ

    Rot-13 Cypher:
    HQIBPEXEZMUG

Vigenere Cypher (with SixSixSevenSeven as keyword):
    HQIBPEXEZMUG
    SIXSIXSEVENS
    =
    PILJHHFAEIHO

    Yeah, that's all I got.

Steal generator. Siphon gas out of cars. (Or just steal power from the pole.)

Well, copying over the files didn't work. It still asks for the activation code. However, about an hour after another failed attempt to install it from the disk, it's decided to install itself for no apparent reason. Well, I'm not complaining.

I am legitimately scared of the Stanley parable, only got it today, I am so emotionally unstable right now.

    Admeister was closer with Lorenz.

Ww2. The germans used a set of machines called the Lorenz to transfer encrypted messages without allied forces eavesdropping.
1942, a message was sent from athens to vienna and eavesdropped by the British who at the time had no idea how to reverse the encryption or even what the Lorenz looked like. It was a 4000 character message but was not received correctly in Vienna for whatever reason(local weather perhaps, or operator went for a piss, who knows). Vienna requested retransmission on an unencrypted channel. Athens retransmitted the message but the second time abbreviated it to save time, they broke protocol though and reused the same key settings. Usually you had a chart with the key for each day and you would advance the key a certain amount after each message.
2 messages both different but with different keys. Brigadier John tiltman managed to analyse the messages and retrieve the key, hence allowing the decoding of the messages.
That then lead to a lot of top secret work at Bletchley park working on reverse engineering the encryption and finding ways to get the key from a single message. Some genius (Bill Tutte) even managed to fully reverse engineer the workings of the Lorenz machine without having ever seen one (and one would not be seen until the close of the war), his replica machine was bigger but faster than the original, its called tunny and one is in 100% restored condition at the British national museum of computing at Bletchley park. Additionally this lead to colossus, big ass computer often falsely accredited to Turing. Colossus also stands at Bletchley today.

Why was it my skgnature? Went to Bletchley park and computing museums (both are separate yet on same site), saw colossus and tunny actually running as well as the bombe (Turing's invention related to the enigma machine). Thought it would be cool to stick in signature.

Was hoping postman would drop buy before I left for uni. Expecting a GPS module, was going to take it, an OLED module and an arduino nano with me and get it working while at uni today.

I've been meaning to get a new clutch for my car for months now, but I always procrastinated. I decided to finish it off on a wet grass field. (It lasted a good 5 mins of drifting around with the ebrake).
But the video shows where it finally died, I barely made it home.

Well, for what its worth, i would be going to jail if i was working retail on black friday, not just getting fired.

I still don't get why people feel the need to go out and fight for limited supplies when they can just buy the things on the internet for less..

Decided it's not worth it to get a GTX 970 at the current prices, and since there are not going to be any significant sales this season.
Did get a Corsair H100i, however.
