Re: General discussion chat @potato I agree with everything except McDonald's part, as that's stuff is nasty, cant stand their food Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping
Re: General discussion chat Pretty much same here. Learnt to drive when I was 13 or so I think. Felicia I had when I was 16 and drove that around the farm a bit. Didn't get actual drivers license til 18, had a moped at 16 instead and waited for the CBT to expire on that first. I like it I shouldn't though, but I do. Oh. Atomix. Come to the UK, driving age is actually 17 not 18 Or if you are on 1 of 2 different disability allowances, you can actually drive at 16. Isle Of Man is 16.
Re: General discussion chat Just replace it with some other food restaraunt that's open at 3am. Is Wendy's open 25/7? Because I'm not a huge fan of Mcdonald's food either, but they have good tea, smoothies, milkshakes, and coffee stuff. I don't remember which ones that are.
Re: General discussion chat really the only 2 fast food restaurants i like are burger king, and carls jr but yeah, i personally cant wait until i get my license first i just have to get 10 hours of driving @ night in due to state requirements for minors to get a license lately been looking at cars on craigslist, there's actually quite a few more choices then i would have expected considering my budget
Re: General discussion chat Chik-fil-a I fucking love chik-fil-a. My parents don't like it much. I'd go there every day when I got a car, but I'm sure they'd make me foot the bill for it. And I'm poor. Zaxby's is a step above fast food, but I love that place.
Re: General discussion chat The police in my area usually drive Crown Vics, Tahoes, Taurii, and I've seen a couple of the Chargers and a Caprice. Fast food here is a McDs, Zaxbys, Wendys, Arbys, Firehouse Subs, Little Caesars, Golden Buddha (中國人 food), and some others.
Re: General discussion chat less than five minutes away from my house is a restaurant called fatt mustard and OH MY GOD THEY HAVE THE BEST BURGERS AND FRIES I'VE EVER HAD I'D EAT THERE EVERY MEAL EVERY DAY IF I WASN'T SO FAT ALREADY AND IT WASN'T SO EXPENSIVE
Re: General discussion chat Best burger I had was at a little pub called The Crown. It was very expensive though
Re: General discussion chat Best burger I had was at Weber Grill in downtown Chicago. - - - Updated - - - I just had Chick-fil-a for lunch
Re: General discussion chat Math class... Bored... Want to jump out the window... 5 minutes of school left. Can't. Make. It.
Re: General discussion chat Some of the best food I've ever had was a sub shop, which was right across the street from the high school, called Ali Babba's. Run by a few middle eastern guys in an old hotel lobby. That was really good food. Sadly it closed March 2013. ;-; RIP If that place still existed I'd make lunch runs over there. They leveled the remaining part of the hotel (lobby and 2 rooms) shortly after it closed.
Re: General discussion chat I am one of those people who aren't driving. I turn 18 in December (im in UK, min age is 17). My Dad wont let me learn to drive because he says that i don't get enough sleep. Which basically means that i cant get a drivers license until i get to university and lets face it, i wont be able to afford it then anyway. So while i personally think i am fairly good at driving in games (with full manual+ clutch [G25]) regardless of whether its fast or just cruising along a mountain pass in Assetto Corsa in the stock BMW E35, its not really an option. But in the end im not to bothered, yeah it would be cool to be able to do that and all, but there is nothing that i can really do about it (like most things in my life). So i have just given up on the idea entirely. I will put my money into making my PC set up more bad ass, new GPU + extra screen could allow triple screens in dx9 games (cause i would have to use a dll file due to 2x 1080p + 1x1050p screens), which would make euro truck sim super epic, add a third 1080p screen and then i can enjoy all the things.
Re: General discussion chat Really, the only place I ever go is work... and if my parents don't expedite the process of getting me a license then they can damn well drive me there themselves.
Re: General discussion chat In the U.S. you only have to have your parents consent to get a license until you're 18. After that you don't have to get a signature from them. Not sure about the laws in the U.K. You may be able to get your license, but obtaining a car is the real problem, unless you want to foot the whole bill yourself.
Re: General discussion chat Work, Uni, any meeting with mates plus I am now errand boy/taxi. - - - Updated - - - Parents have absolutely zero involvement.
Re: General discussion chat Well, driving lessons aren't cheap. But i could foot that bill if i really wanted to. But i don't have access to my own money, my parents control all of that. So i couldn't do it via that either. Ultimately my parents dictate what i can and cant do with my life, hence why i try and keep them out of my life as much as possible. That way they cant interfere in what they don't know. Im looking forward to uni since then i will be able to do what i like within reason, for example i would be able to go for a walk if i wanted, or go to the shops, or more likely use amazon so i can buy things when i need them. Just being able to buy stuff without parental questioning and consent would be really nice. Only ~1 more year... Parents can have involvement in whatever the hell they like if they have the system set up to allow that.
Re: General discussion chat I need to hurry up and get my permit. You need a permit for 6 months before you can get your license in Alabama. I planned to get the full license in January but 6 months is April so even if I start now I'll be a bit late.
Re: General discussion chat My town has Mcdicks, two Subways (One is in the YMCA), a pizza place that's been around for a long time which has the best pizza ever, another fairly shit pizza place, and some resturants. A Joes Wayback Burgers place opened up a couple months ago next to our Starbucks. It's pretty good, still not nearly as good as 5 Guys though. I absolutely love burgers and fries from 5 Guys. Sadly, the closest one is a bit less than 30 minutes away. I still try to eat there at least twice a month.
