Re: General discussion chat Don't go cheap on the board. A B85 is a low-end board, with a low-end chipset, which bottlenecks your CPU. Plus it's micro-ATX. smaller board = smaller e-peen I'd get a Z87 instead. An Asus Z87-K costs around $50 more but it's much better. If you get a 4690, you will have to update the BIOS in your motherboard (unless it's a Z97/H97), for which you'll need an older LGA1150 CPU that's supported by the Z87 mobos. The rest of your build is nice. Why don't people check their PSU... Go with a good 600W. You'll have plenty of upgrade headroom, and your PSU should always be ~50 watts in excess of what you need. And don't buy generic PSUs. If it fails, it will probably kill most parts, and warranty doesn't cover PSU failure.

Re: General discussion chat Yeah, don't cheap out on the board. If you do you'll wish you didn't. My current board was $80 (Gigabyte 970A-UD3P) and I'm very happy with it. My last board was okay. Definitely not as nice to use as my current one. (MSI A75A-G35) Anyway, I'm taking apart my phone because of borked digitizer (It also gets burning hot in the corner where the digitizer connection is when I plug it in.) and I got the bottom part off but I can't take apart the screen assembly because it uses even smaller torx screws than the bottom part and I can't find a bit small enough..
