My 2AC isn't all that bad, it does the job just not spectacularly. It's not a powerhouse, nor does it transmit 150mb/s reliably over distance but it can push decent speeds so it isn't all that bad.
Well my Granddad and Cousin where having a clean out and my cousin gave me one of those Logitech surround system things with a sub woofer. They're not as bad as I first thought TBH, but certainly not audiophile, my main system would blow this stuff out of the water, bass is pretty sloppy and the mids feel a little recessed, kinda detailed, but for free I'm not complaining. Makes for a very nice workbench setup. He also gave me a 240GB Corsair Force GT SSD and a 1.5TB HDD both of which are assumed to be dead but the SSD seems fine, haven't tested the HDD yet. Also got an Xbox 360 and a few other bits 'n' bobs from my granddad.
I noticed this surround sound system I was given has some weird digital interferance. Cracked it open and sure enough the amp board was covered in glue that had turned brown and became conductive. I used a stanley knife to carefully cut and flick the glue off, most of it had turned brittle and was easy enough to get off though I had to be especially carefull around the small chokes that where covered in it, still ended up breaking one of chokes off the board, boy was that fun trying to solder what was left of the wires together again. Now it sounds perfectly fine though it does have some power supply hum, filter caps probably started to get leaky with age. This horrible glue causes so many problems in all kinds of gear.
