10Mbps was fine for 1080p for me, I would be happy enough with that forever to be honest lol. Even 3Mbps can do 720p on a good day, but having family connected slows it down alot.
Talk about having crappy routers, you've never known pain until you've had to navigate the laggy and super slow Virgin Super Hub 3's UI...
