Graphics PERFORMANCE --- Post updated --- Honestly I've had such a stressful experience with people, the internet, and computers that I've been increasingly considering ditching my entire PC and just becoming a console gamer. :| Nothing ever works, nobody is ever a decent person, no jobs in the field, and it's just a lot of stress. Like, my stress level is through the roof because of PC stuff. All day every day. There's problems 24/7 with not just my PC, but I can't even game with people because 24/7 they have issues too.
Just played a round of Overwatch (and CS:GO before that) and quit both games after the 1st round because people are such retards. In Overwatch, I've got people calling me an aimbot zenyatta (because you can aimbot a projectile hero?) and I'm solo healing, people not keeping me alive so I can heal and complain that I die, etc. In CS:GO, we've got 4 year olds that know more foul language than common sense and just overall make me want to hurt someone. Though that's just 2 of the most toxic worlds out there, so it might or might not be worse in your situation. I've stopped playing online games so much because of people, almost as far as becoming an offline only gamer. (Which, I basically am now anyways).
What I mean by stressed is it feels like I've worked a full 40 hour work week in about 8 hours.. I get random aches, pains, headaches, you name it. I'm so tired of it. So tired that I complain about literally everything to at least destress a little bit, and rant on a game forum where nobody is going to care :|
Well to be fair I don't think even making every train in the programme bright pink with flowers for faces would make little girls give a damn about trains. The fact its an "African train" is weird but likely just to get some headlines. Anyway I found thomas the tank engine to be nightmare inducing ever since they switched it over to 3d graphics. Something about it is just disturbing.
Probably a little, something about the incredibly shitty CG and the *almost* but not quite correct face makes it look way more psychotic Case in point right here, looks like hes doing a death stare on his next victim with his crazy smile and big beady eyes... .
I have to agree with this. I used to love watching the old version of Thomas the Tank Engine as a kid, and it looked and felt a lot more...physical. It felt like something that I could re-create with my own Thomas toys (both metal cars/plastic tracks and LEGO DUPLO sets) that I had in my childhood, which I spent hours doing on school breaks and weekends before I got my Facebook account and discovered the Internet. Of course, I also used some of my Tiny Turbo LEGO cars as "trains" along the little tracks. Boy, was that fun to do.
The people freaking out because they think the new Star Trek is SJW propaganda are going to lose their shit when they see this week's episode. First women, now gay people? What is this show that's been forward thinking for 50 years coming to?
I do get divedend off of my grandfathers shares that have been given to me each year which is nice. --- Post updated --- Dam the last few years of the 2010's have sucked. This crap is going to embarrass future generations that's for sure. Nah the whole 2010s have sucked a bit, I mean we have terrorist problems, Downloadable content in games that have become a bit of a problem also microtransactions and finally mainstream music is gone a bit downhill.
I'm not sure what to think of the whole cultural appropriation thing.Culture is something that changes over time, different and new idea's are always being borrowed from other cultures and adapted into different cultures, often deviating from the original meaning within the "original" cultures. So sure, if you want to wear hoop ear rings for the purpose described above then go for it, but that shouldn't mean that other people aren't allowed to wear them for their own reasons too. It really restricts art quite a lot if you can't take on-board external influences and use them to inspire your ow works. And of course that means that there will be some crappy people who do really disrespectful stuff, but that is life and no one is forcing you to like someone else's art. But to be honest I haven't done much reading up on the subject. So it's entirely possible I am hardcore strawmanning the whole topic.
I don't really get it either. Here's a piece of art as an example of the local culture. This style is a very common sight where I live. Am I not allowed to use it as inspiration or make art in a similar style because I happen to be of a different ethnicity to the people from which it originates? I get the impression that some people think I can't.
https://www.thoughtco.com/cultural-appropriation-and-why-iits-wrong-2834561 Based on the article quoted above (which is fairly concise, so go give it a read in full) the issue seems to be that the original authors of the styles are not credited correctly. At which point the people who were not the original authors then profit (monetary or otherwise) from another cultures work. I think it is suggests that malice must be involved (implicitly or explicitly) in order for it to be cultural appropriation. Considering the examples given within the article (for example in relation to music) I can understand why it can be a problem. As far as I can tell the music that was created as a result is not the issue, it is the racially driven agenda under which it was created. The idea with the 50's music example was that it was done to try and exclude black people from being successful with a style of music that they had pioneered, by specifically getting white performers to perform the style instead and only promoting those white artists in order to appeal to a 1950's US audience who were less accepting of racial diversity than modern day audiences. However to be clear this is not true of all US record labels of the time, since there were some that prided themselves on promoting black artists that did receive some success (however much of that was from other people within racial minorities).
cmon, bro, girls don't like trains everybody who has ever interacted with a normal child would know this I've been around tons of children, girls don't like trains female trains aren't gonna make girls like thomas there isn't a need for the UK to have any more than the 4.5% of engineers and/or conductors to be women, they bring nothing to the table other than forcing weird uniform fittings, which may be pleasing to some, but is largely unnecessary, but btw it's my fetish if the men who put their time and effort into making all the trains by hand and filming them in real life, in real time, were still behind it, this wouldn't be happening, no sir, they were good boys 3dcg thomas is cancer
I guess one question I would have to ask you is: Are you of the opinion that allowing boys to play with girls toys is wrong because it emasculates them? (or words to that effect) I mainly bring this up because it is often an opinion that I have heard from people who have said similar things to your above comment, to which it allows me to bring up a contradiction I see between the two opinions. If it doesn't reflect your opinions then disregard.
I don't think it's a problem, I played house, I bossed around my wife, I pretended barbies were just skinny gi joes, just like everyone I merely wish for sofia the first to gain an equivalent male sidekick and get at least 50% of the screentime if thomas is gonna be getting africa chicks all up in his shizizzle if we gotta impinge on the clearly male power fantasy of driving a mile of hot and heavy steel, we gotta impinge upon the female power fantasy of being a perfect being of light that all shall dote upon
Sex education is gonna get very weird in that case However, as I learned on this forum, that will undoubtedly be someone's fetish...
I don't understand right wing logic. "First a woman, then a gay character? What next, a Wookiee? Oh, wait, wrong series..."
