i still find it hard to believe that people blow hundreds of dollars on footwear just becuase of the brand and label on them..
And? Michael jordan is my idol. I still find it hard to believe that people spend 1000 dollars on footwear. I paid 100 bucks for these. If I feel like spending my money on something I like, i'd buy it. People that spend 200 dollars and over are crazy now.
Well than that's your opinion. --- Post updated --- Wait and hold up about this, car parts? Like turbos and stuff? That's a waste of money as well. Making your car faster isn't going to get you anywhere faster unless you want to pay 400 dollar tickets everywhere you go. And that's not even cheap. Stuff for your PC is a waste of money too. Whats the point of having a faster PC? To get better FPS? That's the only thing you can do with it. It won't help you make your Microsoft word run any faster. So if everything is a waste of money, why can't I spend the same amount on some nice kicks for back to school?
Fun to drive? Alright then, fun to wear nice comfy shoes then. Look better? I have shoes that can make me look better too. Why do people spend money on ferraris if they aren't going to take them to the track? Nobody does that and probably not even you. They would leave it in the garage and never drive it, only in once a while.
Never been one for brand name clothing, yet I'll fork out wads of cash for brand name audio gear. I think this really all boils down to each man his own.
I personally bought a pair of Adidas recently. The reason why I bought them is because my other pair of shoes (which were also Adidas) wasn't in a great shape (not in a bad one either) and because I was satisfied with them, so I didn't feel the need to change (the model isn't the same tho, my new ones are Adidas Cloudfoam Advantage, while my used ones are just Adidas Stan Smith). Those costed 69,95€, which is approximately $79,74. Not too bad. Shoes seem to get somewhat expensive though.
They look pretty great. I'd totally rock those but you can't really run in them. Stan smiths are pretty cool too.
ah yes becuase i use microsoft word on the daily! and ever heard of a race track? where you can go as fast as you wish?
Nobody just says "Oh my god, I have a ferrari. Let me take it to the track". Only idiots who crash their ferraris do that because rich people have better things to do then take their ferraris to the track. People who have jobs use it daily. People who have to type up their resumes use it. It's a very good thing to have Word. And why are you rating everything funny? There is nothing funny about this.
Or maybe we can all just let each other enjoy things? I don't care for expensive shoes, but I don't care enough to argue with someone about it. Sidenote: People who take a Ferrari to the track are awesome for actually using the car
I am on something like my 4th pair of "Classic Leather Reebok Classics". Foam shoes man, they are the way to go. Its great cause I don't ever need to think about what shoes I need to buy, they never stop selling them (plus they don't cost a small fortune and last a while) Currently I have 2 pair on the go, my old pair for doing XC MTB and a newer pair for day to day "smart" wearing. I guess they are kinda chavvy, but I am too comfy to care
Speaking of overpriced shoes... I have a friend who made a bunch of money selling special/limited edition Jordan's and similar shoes. So it can be justifiable to buy them sometimes, just not normally. (in my point of view.) I'm personally happy spending $10-50 on general purpose shoes. Gas or electric?
I got a coffee mug with the r&r diner from twin peaks on it. it was between that or a pair of blue socks with pugs on them and a t shirt with the sriracha logo on it. I know I spend money on weird stuff. just a few weeks ago I bought a cooler from the 1970's at a car show.
