It's not present in my mod files. I've moved so many mods out of the folder, and yet this error continues to persist. I'm hoping to find someone who is or has had this problem, because I just have no clue of what mod could be doing this. The frustration is real.
Tap that Clear Cache button and then, right after it, the Safe Mode button. That will (should) solve your issue. But then you need to find what mod is doing that.
They did: http://www.beamng.com/threads/cant-connect-to-steam-cant-play-beamng-drive.34134/ Meh I have beamng as a shortcut anyway so i have no need for steam.
Yeah, people have noticed but most of us assume that other people realize it as well without spamming everywhere.
I'm trying a new method where I put a bunch of specific mods into groups and see if the beast D-Series and Roamer spawns without trouble. I'll post results later on when they come in. First results: It appears that the taxi expansion pack by @ashtonneale23 can trigger the missing trim issue. I don't understand why, as the mod doesn't even cover the Roamer and D-Series.
Your right. It makes me curious to know what would the cars gas caps would look like. I wonder if any of them would have gas caps hidden behind the license plate.
Yea, I thought people were going to panic and yell and scream and stuff. --- Post updated --- And im quite sure they don't have gas caps cause of how they model cars. I do remember reading a thread a couple of years ago talking about how they make half a car and mirror it to make a full car to make it easier. Thats probably why most cars are completely symmetrical when it comes to details except for the interior and engine. Please correct me if im wrong please.
Well, gas gaps could be added after the car's body is complete. What would be interesting about that, is if one of the cars came with a gas cap hidden behind the license plate, that could open doors for license plates that fall off.
If I remember right, the cars aren't modeled symmetrically, but their textures are symmetrical. So while you could have a cas cap it would mess up the textures on the other side.
Then again, the textures could be modified to incorporate the gas cap. It wouldn't be rocket science I don't think. If anything, it'd probably be an easy and quick process to achieve.
