Some businesses will have air cons, far from all though. Otherwise, building AC's are very rare. I've never even been in a house that has AC, and yet I have been in houses costing over £2mil. --- Post updated --- learn
My new networking setup is really nice. I've got an AirPort Wireless Extreme hooked into a TP-Link 8-port switch, all fed by a wonderful Motorola SurfBoard modem. I've got my power line Ethernet, our printer, and my dads workstation all hard wired in, so the load on our router is lightened a little. I've gotten reports that everything runs a little more smoothly and reception is a little better. This is what happens when you actually try.
I have a 3ft Cat6 ethernet cable going into the wall, because I can, not because I intend to get 10Gb/s out of it. Then the accommodation has ruckus wireless ac grade wifi roaming covering the entire thing including the laundry room, common room and shop. Then the uni has some roaming wifi that seems to work anywhere on campus. I get 100Mb down, 10Mb up shared between all my devices on my network account.
yeah when i have my own place i want to at least put some effort into a nice setup. Tried powerline in this building, it didnt go well unfortunately.
I can't swim either. When I fall into water I basically breath in a little from shock. Inherited that from my grandad. So yeah I'll never swim.
my internet setup is not quite so fancy, in fact i'm breaking some very basic laws of wifi (no choice though) i have the ISP provided modem/router (Xfinity branded/modified arris TG862) with ethernet hooked up to my pc, the printer, another computer, and then to another router(Linksys WRT54G), which i have setup as our range network, so we have 2 wireless networks running in the same house, and not only that, they're less then a foot away from each other reason i even need a second one in the first place is unless you're in the same room as the main one wifi speeds are horrid what i need to do is get a TP-link Archer C7 ac1750 router, have that as one network and then have the isp provided modem/router put into bridge mode
my internet setup is a mess of wires i have a pf sense router, a nas, another smaller nas to back up my main nas, a 8 core workstation that i use for zipping files to store on backup nas and also for a minecraft server, a 48port gigabit smart switch(got it for 1 dollar) and a modem/router combo. Currently the pfsense router if out of service, and im too lazy to get it working.
Haha. A Netgear router attached to the Charter-provided Arris modem. A cheap Netgear USB wifi adapter on my rig and that's about it.
the new watch dogs game looks cool, IMO so far it seems like it's going to be what watch dogs 1 should have been
Still debating upgrading to 10. When's the deadline? I've been planning on upgrading my system, so if I switch stuff out (SSD, new mobo) will I not be eligible for it?
July 19th is the deadline I believe, whatever the first anniversary of Win10 is. And hardware changes shouldn't matter, if you upgrade before upgrading to 10 it should still prompt you. The only reason it doesn't prompt someone is if they're on a business licence on their older version of Windows.
Yeah but Watch dogs 1 looked cool and we all know how that went. I'll wait until its been out for maybe 2 years and I can get it in a steam sale.
Got mafia 2 a few days ago, started playing it today. Turns out its actually friggin sweet, still looks good today too. After just finishing la noir it feels so much nicer to play mainly because the driving isn't trash.
Weirdos. Can't swim and you live on a planet that's 71% water. Drowning is just such a dumb way to die. It's so preventable. I don't get it. @VeyronEB I kinda doubt that's an inherited thing. Probably the usual reaction of someone who can't swim falling into water. It's so simple to learn how to tread water if you just take a few minutes to do it, it comes naturally.
I mean afterwards. My hardware is beginning to be out of date and I don't know if my license will carry over if I upgrade.
Went to swimming lessons for 3 years once a week for school. Trust me, I tried. Doesn't have to be falling in it just has to be in my face pretty much.
Not sure about that one, you might be better off if you can upgrade before the deadline then install 10 on the new hardware like I thought you meant.
