All this because Charlotte decided to regulate it. Everything was fine before that happened. Then my state gov (NC) overreacted to it. Now there is all this junk going on. I'm not taking a stance on the bills because there are valid arguments for and against. I just wish they never happened in the first place.
Why would anyone want to be a woman when they are a man, or a woman wanting to be a man? that doesn't make any sense to me at all.
Oh god don't start that. And here in this thread we see the way stuff like this will always be. Gay marriage in sure many of us are ok with, but trans is strange to a few. In a couple years trans issues will be much less of an issue and we'll have moved on. A couple years ago hey marriage would have been a massive argument here. I'll admit I'm being a bit hypocritical though. I'm not if I think the government should force states to allow transgenders to use their chosen bathroom. If someone told me they weren't sure the government should open gay marriage I'd see them as a bit backwards.
To be honest I think most governments have bigger and better things to deal with than this sort of thing. Such as setting up off shore savings plans etc
Ok, so if those who browse this deep into the threads could please do me a favor... I am taking a survey for a (HS) sr. year math project and would like it if as many people could fill this out. It is two questions regarding how many PC games you play. Please share if you feel inclined, Thanks! Link: http://goo.gl/forms/hGJmhPf7Be
Come to find out, Fiat/Chrysler wants to merge with another company. GM didn't want them, Ford said "hell no", Toyota has no need... Now they're looking at VW. GG, Chrysler. America only needs two big car companies anyway.
Ford should've bought them just to have challenger fanboys panic when they stop breaking with a ford drive system in them. The jeep renegade could stand a ford treatment too. What if I own more than 25?
http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Gender-dysphoria/Pages/Introduction.aspx Few of us can make direct sense of it simply on the basis that we dont feel that way and cant relate. Though a few research papers have pointed towards those that do genuinely have such feelings actually knowing for sure as early as 4 or 5 and simply taking however long to come to terms with it. Link above has a few potential genuine medical causes of it. Process of going through the change in UK is damn long and complex, even if you want no medical intervention and just want your legal status changing. Friend has a 12 month wait before he can be seen by gender clinic, the NHS doesnt have the resources to cope with number of patients and has quite a long waiting list. Quite a few therapy sessions involved, most of which are based around confirming that yes, you are a genuine case and not just a nutter on the street that thought it would be funny to switch genders. and a bonus one that some overlook: "Gender dysphoria isn't the same as transvestism or cross-dressing and isn't related to sexual orientation." Seriously, someone genuinely asked him if he's into girls now just because he had boyfriends (one of whom has threatened to kill me, nice guy) before coming out and apparently coming out as the opposite gender also means your sexual attraction suddenly changes too?
Now I have to go count all my non-Steam games. I have three questions about this: What if I own more than 25 games? Are free2play games included? Are expansions included (The Civilization series has lots of them)? Or do they all fall under the same game? You mean Fiat Panda?
In 50 years it'll look ridiculous that we even went through this. I don't get why it's so hard for people to look at history and apply it to the current situation. The same with weed. If there's any sense in this world, marijuana prohibition will be looked at as alcohol prohibition in a while.
a big part of American culture is based on the idea of doing whatever the hell you want as long as you are not stopping anyone else from doing whatever the hell they want. i do whatever i want, and strongly recommend it. i wantonly break laws i disagree with everyday of my life, and none of them involve depriving anyone else of anything. if i want to be a woman bad enough to trade in my hardware you think i give a shit if you think its ok? marijuana for president.
As with the others, I have over 25 games. In fact I have over 200. So it may be worthwhile using a number box or allowing the user to type the number in manually rather than a drop down list which is usually more suitable for a finite number of options. Well to be fair to the people who have asked questions this sort of thing isn't common public knowledge meaning it would be odd to expect them to know all of the answers already. Equally things will be different on a person by person basis. Although it must be said that being on the receiving end of such personal questions often isn't comfortable for people who are better represented and can only be worse for those who are lesser represented.
Well as with the hardware thing above, everybody is different. I know its very common for male to female to have nothing but hormones and perhaps a wardrobe change, whereas most ftm patients do go under the knife for at least a double masectomy. Some are happy to talk about their transition with those that do know, some arent. Some, arent actually happy using non private toilets at all bypassing the bathroom bill. Fixed
Perhaps it would be more interesting to see the reaction of Americans if they switched to unisex bathrooms like certain places in Europe where there are Urinals in shared bathrooms. One campsite I went to in France had this shared type system with the urinals in the entrance to the bathrooms, the worst part being is that they only had a set of glass doors facing out to the world perpendicular to the urinals. Personally I don't use Urinals because they make me super uncomfortable, but im not sure anyone else at that campsite ever did either other than people who are too old to give a damn.
i like cardboard --- Post updated --- so steam has been down for a bit... i'm strong though, I've only cried 3 times so far
