I just want to say I really like how this thread is half conversation and half stream of conciousness. I can't tell you why, but I feel better about the things going on my life when I read all of your thoughts and daily happenings.

 

What actually happened to all the Aisan Hatchbacks? They have all turned into crossovers... I was just looking around and it seems that Honda are the only ones who still sell a performance hatchback in the form of the Civic. Outside of hatchbacks, Mitsubishi don't even sell Lancers any more (every vehicle they sell is an SUV except their city car) and the Impreza has turned into an American styled Seat Altea.

At least the French are still making hot hatches and fast mid sized cars.

It's the school's Chromebook. They're switching to these dreadful things. Thank whatever God there is that I'm getting out while they still let us bring our own devices. If it were mine, it would get some flavor of Ubuntu or Mint installed on it so fast it's not even funny. ChromeOS is a disaster.

But I can't use my actually quite nice HP Craptop because of the significant importance of a stupid standardized test I have to take on Monday and I have to take the practice tests on these infernal things.

Not GNU/Linux. Saying ChromeOS is Linux is like saying Android is Linux, while technically correct it's irrelevant because the OS often referred to as 'Linux' is actually GNU/Linux. They share a kernel but that's about it, entirely different OS.

The caps lock thing is a feature. Its part of Googles new YouTube comment section improvements, should also help to prevent full caps 'prank' channels. All in all I think its a welcome improvement.

I use a chromebook in employment class I can agree on this. I prefer windows as its not foreign to me.
