Re: General discussion chat Yes you will. A quick little drag race off of a green light up no more than 20 above the limit isn't gonna get you thrown in jail, if you even get caught. You might say you won't, but all of those promises to be safe, to not speed or be an idiot go down the shitter as soon as you see your friend in the car beside you gives you the "race me faggot" face. Since you guys will probably not have performance sport cars when you're 16, I'll give my rendition of it. When the light turns green, you and your friend both floor it. Your friends truck spins a wheel a little bit, but it bites quickly. You, in your honda civic, do a peg legged burnout for about 20 feet out of the stoplight. You can't get any power to the ground, so your friend gets a bit of a lead on you, but as soon as you get traction, you catch back up to him and pass him. Once you get a car length or 2 ahead of him, you let off and declare a victory. Then, out of spite, your friend fucks yo bitch.
Re: General discussion chat Oh come on officer safety, If you get a car with some real power you know darn well your going to pop the clutch and burn a little rubber on the streets every now and then and you know when some one in the next lane gives you the look that you can't just let him think hes got a faster car. Going to the drag strip and road course is the safe way to go but you will be surrounded by much older men who have decades of experience and have put a LOT of money into their cars, which really ruins the fun for a young guy with a budget street car. Also going to the race track every time you have a craving for burnt rubber and speed gets very expensive. Honestly tho its defiantly best to never street race, and I hope you stay true to what you said . But get real!!
Re: General discussion chat Um..... no. Focus ST FTW. And your story is not me. You don't know me. - - - Updated - - - P.S. If you want to actually know me, PM me.
Re: General discussion chat I wouldn't get my favourite car as my first car, chance is you'll crash at some point, even if it's not your own fault. And you don't want to crash your dream car, do you? I'd rather get something like an old Hilux which will run no matter what it goes through, or a complete shitbox which I'll probably intentionally crash in order to get a new, better car when I'm a more experienced driver.
Re: General discussion chat I just picked a random car. I'll change it to focus though. I may not know you, but I know you're a guy. There are very few guys who can't say they've raced on a public road before.
Re: General discussion chat Even I've drag raced at traffic lights before, against total strangers too
Re: General discussion chat Currently cleaning out my school tablet, file-wise, and I am doing a scan as well. I know they are gonna get angry about my VPN, because it can be used to bypass their monitoring software there, but I need it to check stuff at home, and actually use wifi at home. Next I have to pack my bag, and then wait to go back to school tomorrow. Sophomore year, here I come.
Re: General discussion chat I would, but my subconcious mind says no. My heart says yes. And I like corners more than straights, so a road course is better to race on for me.
Re: General discussion chat I found this on the internet a while ago...they're called "Easyrods" http://www.easyrods.com/ Essencially, this website has plastic kits you put on your crappy cavalier or whatever to make it look like a "stunning street rod". Supposedly, you can make an "awesome street rod" in days, not years. The thing is, there's a reason most street rods / hot rods / rat rods take years to make, it's because there's actual work put into them instead of installing some flimsy plastic kit. For a little comparison, here's an easy rod (imported from here) And an actual street rod/hot rod (imported from here) What do you think of these easy rods?
Re: General discussion chat Then go fast on a curvy country road. Yeah sure, a race track would be safer and legal, but they're expensive and you'd be surrounded by really fast cars. And you have to devote a whole afternoon or something to it. You can get your speed itch satisfied while doing daily tasks.
Re: General discussion chat Does that second one have any form of suspension? To be honest i probably wouldnt like it since the ride is probably quite hard and the visibility is awful.
Re: General discussion chat I think that if I ever see one of those I'd have to get a new set of eyes.
Re: General discussion chat I guess it's not exactly a car that can take on bumps and stuff very well since there's low clearance between the wheels and the wheel arches, but it's a pretty neet car still.
Re: General discussion chat Had a strange boot menu glitch today, windows 8 was completely removed from it, luckily I still had 7 installer on flash drive, and its repair function detected windows 8.1 not being there and recovered it, then I went and opened easybcd to make sure it stays that way
Re: General discussion chat Sounds scary for that to Happen to a pc Did you Definetly not have a Virus deleting your SYS32 files
