SPOILER ALERT: Vmlinuz found the spoiler tag.
My Xiaomi Mi Band arrived today. Its a fairly neat little device. Its a basic £10 smart band that can also do notifications (via rgb LED on the model i have, with a modded version of the app that goes with it otherwise it can only do incoming calls) as well as having a 30 day battery life, although people say that they can go up to 60 days if it doesn't need to vibrate much. While i cant comment on battery life so far i would recommend.
But i am finding it pretty weird having something on my wrist since i haven't worn a watch in at least 10 years.
is this true, and if so why, besides money?
UKians please tell me why this is even being considered.
oh god no
along the same lines, drones in the US now need to be registered with the FAA and a licence and permit are to be required at all times..
According to the FAA site there are very few restrictions on private recreational drone operation . They basically just say don't fly too high, don't fly too close to airports, don't be stupid. A license/permit is not required.
The rules for the use of them for a business or whatever are kinda foggy.
Bit of clickbait. While my government is a collection of utter morons, who come up with stupid nonsense like banning encryption and are currently looking to record personal data for everyone in the country and store it in a database and are quizzing ISP's on how to keep it safe... to which the ISP's are saying "not if the security measures get breached, the realistic question is when...". Despite all this nonsense, they're not likely to be supporting this.
Sides, if this is a thing and it does pass then I can laugh at them, and they can't enforce it. so it'll quickly become one of our thousands of non-laws.
Today marks the 1st anniversary of the Sydney Lindt Café Siege.
Dang I remember that like it was yesterday, has it been one year?
Yep. December 15 - 16 (9:44 AM to 2:14 AM), 2014.
Has anybody in here tried Discord?
I have, quite like it.
I have a little group chat setup for BeamNG (unofficial) if anyone wants to join
(for anyone wondering what it is, it's a Skype like chat client with more features essentially, and nicer IMO)
I'll give it a whirl, I suppose.
Lots of fog today, also quite cold.
All pictures i took can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/98fo9bg5piqd6xt/AAACd4DUTSxfZ9P-Pm_GeJYRa
I find it funny that governments are now openly complaining that it isn't easy enough for them to spy on your and intercept your information.
I have no idea where that photo license thing came from. i cant even find it from looking at BBC new or searching for photo in google news.
Merry Christmas and happy new year and happy Hanukkah and all that. My computer has gotten screwed up and so all progress on that impala I was working on is gone. I have had it with modding.
Here's a pretty funny story I found on Jalopnik: http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/texas-plumber-sues-dealership-after-his-old-work-truck-1747970207
Couldn't get any more technical.
