I don't remember exactly, but it's either A) 40x faster than Vishera or B) 40% faster than Vishera. - - - Updated - - - Aha http://www.kitguru.net/components/c...en-processors-is-our-largest-rd-spending-now/ It's 40% faster than Excavator. So, like, Perhaps Ivy Bridge? Maybe Haswell if we're lucky. I'm saying Sandy Bridge for sure.
Hey, same here! I got my BenQ GL2460hm up to a whopping 65Hz before it started glitching out and artifacting all over the place. I didn't think it would work over HDMI, but it actually worked. But I reverted the changes because I'm not giving up DSR for 5 more hertz. In other news, in messing around with nvidia control panel, I discovered that both my GPU and my monitor were using the Limited colour depth. Changed it to full, and WOW, I can now see the treads of tires, gradients of clouds, and generally more vibrant colours.
New Parts List. Fan prices decided to be unavailable, But they where there yesterday. Razer will remmeber my old part list, which was way too overpriced for what i was getting. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/crazycow666/saved/mrnMnQ
One winter I stuck an 8800GTS into the second GPU slot on my old PC. Then I mined with it. About 90c on fresh paste, made my room hot enough to sweat in the middle of winter. Worth it for dat 20kh/s.
Someone offered me a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 for $85. I'd much prefer a 7970, but it's not staring me in the face at this price point.
Fans at 100% in valley extreme hd it hits 82C, pcb hits 50C, but that's WITH a fan on it... The card idles at 78C if you have two monitors connected, which is normal. Really want this cooler so load temps will at most be 76C.
Don't know if this still counts as Computer discussion, but what mic would you reccommend a beginner who wants a good but not too expensive mic so that he can actually do stuff without having to use his phone as a mic. I looked at the Rode NT-1A, but it's just a little too expensive. The mic costs 150€, Eq or whatever it's called costs 90€ and the stand thing costs 100€. I've been thinking about getting something like a Razer seiren, since, well first off I'm sort of a razer fanboy (dont hate pls ) and because it sounds pretty good. It costs 150€, but it's just plug'n'play, which means I don't need to buy any space taking stuff which I don't need at all. I'd like it to cost a max of around 150€ since I wanna buy it with the GPU/PSU/possibly case upgrade, wihch will cost me 350€. If there aren't any microphones that are usable by someone like me, I'll get a G27/25 with paddles and stuff.
the blue yeti is generally considered to be one of the best: http://www.amazon.de/Blue-Microphon...UTF8&qid=1438982803&sr=8-1&keywords=blue+yeti (also sorry if wrong version of amazon, i'm assuming .de is for germany, but idk)
I'll put that on my list. And yes, .de is in german, but you can use the english one if you wanna, I'll just write a (maybe) big list with all the microphones that get suggested.
linustechtips has actually done a video comparing the siren, blue yeti, and EK sl600 if you want to compare the sound quality: https://youtu.be/Mqr2Wibe7Cs?t=228 (should go to right about to when he starts comparing them)
decided to make a windows me VM just to see what all the hate is about (my family completely skipped over windows me, we went from 95-98-XP so i've never touched it before in my life) froze up on the boot screen on the very first reboot (switching from cd installer to hdd after copying files) wow, great job microsoft, it did successfully boot back into the installer after restarting the VM though so hopefully it doesn't do that again
Using a VM powered by a modern processor and a lot more RAM than the OS expects is far from representative of the experience, just sayin'.
