Not even with future possibility to overclock? TBH, I have no idea what is price difference of K and non K i5 currently, it was not huge at some point.
I just checked, its about £20 difference for the 6600 vs 6600k, so £10 per 100Mhz, not as unreasonable as I thought but still really not worth it unless you are sure you're going to be upgrading to a motherboard that can even handle an overclock.
Back on the topic of my old RumblePad, I've opend it to see what's the exact problem, and how the cables are packed in. [ It's the first time that I open a controller, it's quite weird how everything is placed, especially the thing that vibrate the all controller, they aren't of the same size, maybe it weighs more on a size than the other The cable is really well packect into selled rubber, I won't be able to re-used after fixing it sadly, they are also 2 clamping collars (< dunno if it's the right word) and a metal thing. Of course the cutted cable is just behing the rubber thing, it won't possible to weld the cable without cutting everything. I run out of time, i'll do that this weekend. BTW i'm intrested in a new screen, i'll probably go with the Samsung 24" LED - C24F396FHU It's the cheapest curved screen on the market and a pretty damn good price/quality ratio, I wasn't intrested in curved screen, but why not. My old Philips 19" 1366x760p monitor won't support a new GPU, and my second screen is dying. I had kept this money for 403 the unybody frame ladder of the 403, but, oh well... BTW, Other screens suggestions ?
That circular shaped thing that has hole inside where wires go trough it is for keeping signals clear from disturbances or something along those lines, I'm not sure about correct English terms of that either. Shrink tube is great stuff, maybe you already know it. Annoying small space to work, there would of been so much free space to put those wires, but they decided to put it cramped like that, never they think about poor end used who has to breathe new life to gadget I have Fujitsu 27" screen and it is not very good, quite slow to switch full screen to desktop, also moving head 1mm changes colors already, but this was cheap and it is easy to read as everything is big, even pixels as it is 1080p monitor, but I have AA permanently on in my eyes, so it is not big issue Perhaps something more modern and advanced would be better.
Those "clamping collars" are zip ties, and the "metal thing" is a ferrite bead used for reducing electrical interference.
Ah thanks I'll go to sleep less stupider tonight We have Fujitsu screens at school, they aren't particularly good . (only 21" though) I guess 1920x1080p is still acceptable for 24", but 27" probably not, as you said, maybe if you are far away. I'm about 50cm of my screens, so yeah... Amazingly you can have some pretty good screen with 170€ those days!
Reason I like 720p windowed mode is also because I don't need to turn my head to see side of the road I think my SL27T-1LED was 140-150€ on sale years ago, for the price can't complain, but indeed better choose some other brand. --- Post updated --- That must be really great with tired eyes, everything is even bigger so one can see bit longer
If you want a basic good quality screen I would recommend the Asus PB238q that I use as my primary monitor. Its a pretty solid all rounder with very good colours and a nice stand, it uses an IPS panel. For me its absolutely fine for gaming however if you are aiming to play CS:GO to a competitive level none of the monitors mentioned so far will serve you well for that. I also have an AOC G2460V TN monitor which is as cheap as freesync 75hz comes. While you can overclock many monitors to do 75hz this one runs it out of the box if you want it to. For me the 75hz freesync wasn't a big deal cause I have an Nvidia GPU and my other monitors are 60hz (plus 60fps youtube on a 75fps monitor isn't ideal). It was the price, since it cost the same as any other 1080p TN panel without that. The screen is clear but the colours are crap, don't get me wrong, for a TN panel it is solid. The viewing angles are good... for a TN panel, so still not great. Long story short, if you want good colours never buy a TN panel, but that isn't new news
What one should really believe? I'm getting higher lowest FPS at CPU limited situation and Cinebench score is higher, but what if it is just cheating the clock? --- Post updated --- Really weird, it just says 3.41 at Task manager, but I can then do this and it looks like genuine result, not sure if it is though:
Task manager is almost always wrong. It reports my CPU as being at all sorts of weird speeds, never correct speeds though.
Task manager is not the Best for core speeds i sometimes -2 ghz core clock qnd i dont know how that works
Really weird, it just says 3.41 at Task manager, but I can then do this and it looks like genuine result, not sure if it is though: View attachment 251444 I guess randomly? It is bit weird with CPU loads too sometimes, kinda lefts out some load from thread. 4.9Ghz seemed not to work quite well though and when I change BCLK I have to keep memory at 2666Mhz, anything below fails to boot, but I think once I got it to boot with 2800Mhz or so. When changing BCLK there is relation to memory clock and there is only some multiplier available. With this old BIOS I forced to board, with stock setup I get 4Ghz at idle and more the load closer to 3.7Ghz it goes, even with single core load tests it drops to 3.8Ghz or bit below, however if I disable turbo and set manually 4.2Ghz seems to be easy. With new BIOS it really did not want to boost at all, so stayed 3.4Ghz, but I could force 3.7Ghz constantly on with MB vendor application by selecting normal profile, which probably is some bug in it. Another thing with older Bios is that in BeamNG, enabling fps counter, CPU loads shift around to different cores, where as with new bios CPU load is not shifted to different cores, not until BeamNG is restarted. Need to do some reading about voltages and stuff, I think it should do 4.5Ghz. Update: I'm quite happy with this already though, from 163 single core result to 195.
Hello, Could someone recommended a decent gaming keyboard here? I'm looking for a decent keyboard under $ 50, i already googled it but there are many options which makes me confused. Thanks for the help before
I've got a redragon keyboard and mouse combo. It's on Amazon for about 30 bucks, and they both are really nice.
This may be useful, they are half your budget which may or may not be ideal. Obviously usually you can get better stuff when spending more.
