If you are going to get a car like that then you should do it. If you have the money that would be a really cool car to drive around.
look online if there are any header kits for that car and if there are you should do it. It will also sound pretty good.
I'm not sure how that helps emissions, but I do know that my Sunbird (which is cable throttle) did that sometimes. Of course, in the process of finding out how hosed I was after over-oiling it, I found out that it had a broken throttle sensor of some kind, which might have had something to do with it.
As much as I like the new generation of trucks I swear if one more new f250 with their crazy bright lights blinds me while I'm driving late at night I will voluntarily end my own life to Kamikaze right into those stupid headlights. I just don't see how they got approved.
You see, I'm used to that. Owning the type of car I do and sitting the way I do, everything blinds me at night: Semis, pickups, minivans, Corollas, motorcycles, other Mustangs, police cars, streetlights, fireflies, my dashcam, my stereo, my own ego... It's crap.
Half the people I know think I'm crazy for liking it. I think it looks good minus the bumper. I've loved every generation of Rams, but I was ready for an update. Ram came out and said they were going to differentiate the HDs from the 1/2-Tons more like Ford does. I have a feeling the HDs are going to look a lot better, which goes for any truck with the exception of Ford.
You kids and your torque-y diesels... In my day, we drove with 105 crank horsepower and 100lb-ft crank torque mated to a 4 speed automatic AND WE LIKED IT! (So like 90hp/85lb-ft to the wheels, and that's being generous)
The Yukon's windshield is really scratched and pitted up and everything is super glarey and blinding at night. Every single passing car may as well have their brights on. One time I was completely 100% blinded of everything past the windshield when I got high beamed by a newer Mercedes SUV. Couldn't see the road at all.
The only Ram that I didn't like was the 3rd (and a 1/2?) gen with the updated front fascia and rear taillights. And the grille on the newest high end models. I assume the mean differentiate more because the current 1/2 tons are slightly different, though not very noticeable for the average person. I'll be interested to see what the HD models look like though.
Are those taillights and the side marker lights something done to comply with different regulations over there?
