I want to ease into classic car keeping by getting a "Beginner" Classic... (Eg: VW beetle, Austin Healey Sprite)
these --- Post updated --- I built him myself --- Post updated --- But I do not want everyone to get him
They are harder to keep running and i learned my lesson trying to keep an 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass, the suspension felt crap and it was too large for my parents house.
Went to that subaru dealer again there are alot of hidde gems there. I also test drove the impreza wrx sti the new one. Also the one in the last pick looks good to but sadly has a big dent in the side and the inside is quite beaten down
I think the biggest reason they stopped production was because they were so expensive for what you got. That's why I think the Galant VR4 would be a good replacement. Mitsubishi NZ knows my existence.
The evo was not ever meant to be a mainstream production profit turner. It's a homologation vehicle for a class they no longer have interest in competing in. Huge amount of non standard lancer parts incompatibility. Subaru took different approach, designing the standard production vehicle around knowing they were going to homologate it. Always managed to keep the impreza profitable this way
Considering they killed off the Lancer entirely in the UK they evidently don't believe there is profit to be made selling cars that are not SUV's, never mind any form of sports car. They sell a city car and then everything else in the range is either an off-roader or designed to look a bit like one. Also, why would you make a car called the "Mirage"? A mirage is a false image that looks legitimate due to an optical illusion, in essence its something fake. Typically Mirages are not good and have lead to the death of many explorers. Another thing I have just noticed is that they have no brand identity, no common design language between vehicles. The ASX looks like their old Lancer style design language, The mirage doesn't look anything like a Mitsubishi. None of the front grills are consistent, neither are the headlights, the only thing consistent between them is the colour. As an example of a brand that has been consistent, take a look at the ford range. (Nearly) All these vehicles are quite clearly fords, they have (Nearly) all been produced with a consistent design language, they look similar in certain ways that suggest to people that they are made by Ford. This is really strong branding.
I don't think Mitsubishi currently produces any decent looking cars. They all either look outdated or ugly.
I think the Shogun has something going for it simply because of its classic boxy design. The outlander isn't bad either, just boring, looks like they have tried to clone honda. The ASX has potential but looks like a bit of a bodged facelift. The Mirage is one of the most generic cars I have ever seen, if I had seen one before today without a badge I would not have been able to figure out who made it.
Whilst the Pajero (Shogun) is probably Mitsubishi's best looking vehicle (and it aint even that spectacular), the Pajero Sport is probably one of the worst looking vehicles ever produced.
I definitely do think Mitsubishi should be using the Nissan partnership to their advantage by making a halo car (Nissans car focused on being rwd while Mitsubishis car focused on being awd)
Saw this on Thursday when I went to have my interview for my work placement. not sure if its a real GT350 or one that was dressed up to look like one. I do wish that we do get them here.
