I am surprised they haven't got Subaru WRX's. Since the imprezza STI's have been used in the past in the UK. At least then they would have a mad JDM police force xD Shame Mitsubishi don't make Evo's anymore cause they have been used in the UK too.
Actually you'd be surprised how us Falcon & Commodore fans are responding to the Stinger. The general conception is "F^ck you GM & Ford! Kia has our hearts now!", Kia made a genius move being a shoulder to cry on during the saddest time in Australian automotive history. Also, a bit more footage of the HWP Chrysler (Turns out it is the 6.4l Hemi V8) https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1676616422362484 (Notice at the end, they make an error & show General Duty Camry's during a HWP segment)
"to replace its 580-strong Highway Patrol fleet of aging Fords and Holdens". The same aging Fords and Holdens that are only a year old? Seriously?
On my way through town this morning I saw two "new" Crown Vics sitting out front, they looked basically new, had paperwork taped to their back windows, and had temporary plates. There's also a state trooper in an Aussie built Caprice that seems to have someone pulled over every time I go through town, usually always in the same spot.
I guess that does make sense. Still though, chevy brought the caprice over to the us (was a holden) just to have a cop car, dodge could do the same then again I guess Fiat Chrysler is making the money off the 300Cs so they don't need to compete with themselves. Are the HWP 300Cs keeping their nice interiors, or are they more like a charger inside anyways?
Not sure tbh, but the Commodore & Falcon never had downgraded interiors, so I would assume the 300 wouldn't either
Remember this is the company that borrowed a small loan of 48 billion dollars from the country just to stay afloat I would imagine so, in Australia once police cars are relieved from their 3-4 year duty, they are sold off to the general public. Contrary to America, police in aus like to get more resale value from their cars, so I imagine for that reason they may keep the luxury interior (this is also the reason in recent years why aus police cars come in a variety of flashy colours, as opposed to traditional white)
Hey, i'm looking for a first car, and i was wondering, would this make a good first car? (yea i know it's boring but i really want one of these)
theyre quite good cars what sort of engine do you want for it? The 1.9TDI is really good if you want something reliable
volkswagen diesels are usually solid, reliable engines.Just don't look for petrol versions of these thing, they suck at reliability..
Oh i meant to say 1.8TSI, my dad has one and it's never failed him. only problem? it's the 2014, so it's irrelivent.
Should i go for this Pontiac or something else? http://www.olx.ph/item/1982-pontiac-trans-am-ID7VGWK.html
I'd buy that so fast the friction of me pulling out the money from my bank account would burn the bank down.
