The recent trucks have proved to be pretty good. I'm not saying they aren't putting out a lot of crap, though. Only time will tell how their current vehicles hold up. I'm talking about past gm products. Like the early 2000s silverados/suburbans/tahoes that last forever, or the b-body until they killed it in the mid 90s. They've had plenty of really good, bulletproof vehicles, as has ford and every other car brand that exists (for the most part).
So these are starting to hit the market... http://www.copcarsonline.com/2013_Ford_Taurus_Largo_FL_222255348.veh As are these- http://www.copcarsonline.com/2012_Chevrolet_Caprice_Largo_FL_251387380.veh
Holden Caprice is a long wheel base Holden Commodore which is essentially a Corvette sedan. Therefore the Caprice is a long wheel base Corvette sedan.
I think the new Caprice is kinda oddly proportioned. It's just kinda..off. The new Ford Interceptor doesn't do much for me either. I need to pick up a few Crown vics from an auction before they're gone for good. :|
i just found out how well made the 3 cars Top Gear used in the Australia special are, The Bentley, BMW & Nissan all needed extensive Engine, Body work & paint repairs after they had finished filming. An article I read said that the Nissan & BMW copped the brunt of it but the person only knew the main facts about the Bentley. The Bentley has lost over 50% of its value due to the awful condition it was returned it. Just goes to show, Australia is the worlds best proving ground. Honda is smart for testing the new NSX over here. http://www.autoevolution.com/news/t...ellow-bentley-gt-v8-s-in-australia-91944.html
I was reading up on the million-mile cars out there, and I would like the Escort to at least hit 500K. It has 363K on it.
You take care of it and do the preventative maintenance, don't beat on it, and you shouldn't have to many problems. Most of the cars up here get killed by the rust before they are mechanically dead.
As far as I'm aware, the cars were barely damaged at all and these articles were a lie. From what I've heard the Bentley is only in that state for a thorough inspection to make sure nothing was damaged and to remove dirt from inner areas.
Found a guy parting out his 2003 P-71. Has some Rear Rockford-Fosgate Speakers, P-71 Rear Sway bar, and that precious P-71 intake. Edit-Sent email asking about Speakers, Intake and Cat Backs.
Rockfords are good, but I'd hop on Sonic Electronix and get 4 NVX NSP68s for $85. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...s-of-NVX-N-Series-NSP68-Coaxial-Speakers.html
Damn, That's only 2 dollars more than what I'm paying for mine per speaker. He want's $40 for the two rear.
Tosay i saw this (imported from here) -aftermarket paint and bbs and something to make kitteh horny (imported from here) -the op version with more engine and cool red gti-like stripe
The range of engines in Europe came from the 1.3 all the way to a 2.0 trubo. I will check the badges on the rear tommorow, see if they are any use.
