I agree with you! Not to mention you have better control of your car and parts are cheaper for it and easy to maintain.
You know we're not the majority right? Companies don't build loud, manual cars because most people would hate it and they wouldn't sell any. There are a few options for enthusiasts, but it's silly to think that every car should suit our exact needs. Buy an Alfa or something and just let everyone else buy what suits them.
I mean if you can always try something from '90s japan bloody hell they had awesome stuff for any budget. If you take a detour from the over hyped stuff (Supra and GTR's) you can find some interesting gems.
Good example is Mazda's Eunos Cosmo, an underrated 2-door that is the source of the Wankel 20b 3-rotor engine. It's true that if you talk about 90's JDM cars, people would go all over the widely-known ones like Skylines, Supras or anything Honda while leaving all the others untouched in a dark corner like they don't matter.
I didn't say that every car had to be built entirely for enthusiasts, just that every car should have something enthusiasts could appreciate. If a car can be described as completely boring, without any redeeming qualities in terms of the driving experience, then the manufacturer did it wrong.
A car that actually allows you to drive it and the driving being fun. Most new cars are incredibly boring to drive on windy roads. They are underpowered and have terrible handling due to skinny tyres and excessive wieght.
Cars that sound nice is something that I would say is important. Some examples of different engine layouts and a bonus twin turbo video (from the same YouTube channel I know).
Some trucks still have column shifters. They are so huge though. What made automakers think that we want a column shifter that is the diameter of a baseball bat.
To be honest any vehicle with a column shifter would be an insta no buy for me. I would much rather have a proper gear stick in the center. I'm not aware of any car sold in the UK today that has them either.
They're all V6 and V8 here in the US, unless you mean very heavy duty trucks. Those still have V10s for sure.
I just looked dodge doesnt offer them for the ram 5500 but at least it has a i6 cummins diesel so thats something
